👑 TBd... Perception Vs Reality

Sometimes people are afraid of how they can make changes when it comes to their brand, with concern that it's potentially such an earth shattering investment.

We are here to remind you that we are a little bit like the extremely expensive handbag that you think you don't need, but when you purchase it you realise it brings you a feeling of joy because of how it made you feel wearing it.

Now that's not to say, we are like a designer handbag, however, branding professionally, is exactly why you buy that designer bag in the first place, even when you probably don't need another bag...

🧠 So is branding yourself to a certain level worth it?

It depends whether you want people to buy your services with the care and attention they would their next designer piece.

We will leave that with you to ponder on for a moment.

Many people believe that chasing new sales is the answer to success... We believe it isn't.

The best success you can gain from your clients, is "LOYALTY", the more you look after them with;

You then create a circle of confidence that they hold for you and your brand, and you don't have to 'sell' to them, they remember you every time they need something new.

New sales are harder, because you have to spend time convincing someone you are the best for the job, you are reliable and competent - and all of this before they've even worked with you.

🫣 TBd... We have a high moral compass

Something we pride ourselves on, is our moral compass when it comes to the way we work.

❌ We won't share our clients work to try to on-board other clients.

❌ We won't use their designs to create yours (when we say each project is bespoke, we mean it)

❌ We don't 'mass produce' our work, to gain more clients (each relationship we build is important to us and our growth)

We recently got asked to 'send examples of our previous designs, so that another company could copy the design and create their own', we had to politely refuse and explain that we protect the projects we do for others unless our clients wish to share them. We only share snippets of our designs through our portfolio but not everything, for this reason because we know copycats exist.

If you feel the need to 'copy' someone else's to make yours great, then the problem isn't with us...

The mindset you give your brand is what helps you sustain the best reputation possible. You aren't allowed to copy someone else's when you are studying, so we don't believe you should do so as a reputable company either.

A good moral compass (or not) will always follow you, so we always like to stay where we are comfortable for the sake of the relationships we have spent a lot of time building.

Many business people and companies talk about "Wanting to be valued for their work", what people miss, is that it's easier than they think...

Once you are great at what you do, that reputation of you and your brand becomes the focus of WHY people want to buy into you. The cost then becomes a more secondary concern, and the quality of delivery becomes the primary focus.

Here are the areas people usually look for consistency with, when understanding your value, without the need to make your price their primary focus:

➡️ Do you have a reputation for always 'delivering on your promises'?

💛 Appreciation of 'your value' cannot be assumed as a given, if there are areas that can be improved in your own customer journey.

So sometimes it's better to focus on offering and showcasing and immaculate journey every time, in order to ensure people are already valuing your way before you are approached for a project.

Jagz, has experience in design for print, since graduating in design 2002 (that's an impressive 24 years in industry). She went on to complete a Masters' successfully in Design & Branding Strategy from Brunel, and started out in her Uncle's print company based in Stratford where she worked with both large and local brands to help them streamline their look and feel, in order to encompass their company ethos clearly for the correct audience.

TBd… Does colour really matter?

Yes it does…

Your brand colours can impact people choice of choosing you.

How? Let’s explain it for you

👉🏼 if a colour is too bright and “too much” and it’s used within your business environment it can make people feel uncomfortable

👉🏼 if colours used are warm, calm or welcoming, it helps people be comfortable in your environment

If you are using bold colours in your business environment ensure there isn’t overkill.

If you’re using pastel colours, add some areas that are a little bit stronger to create a balance

We know of a story where one of our team, went into a gym and the walls were all RED ( because they had created a Black and red brand) … it was a small space and because of the feeling of overwhelm it gave them, they couldn’t walk out quick enough and never joined that gym.

This is how quickly a simple choice of colour people believed was great for their brand, actually lost them people they didn’t know they could loose.
