A Letter of Introduction
My name is Gary Hawke, Founder of Alethic Coaching. I work with individuals and organisations to provide a superior level of consultation and therapy in the most critical yet challenging areas by using the Four Rs Framework: resolve, re-description, retroduction, elimination, identification, and correction. I apply these in a variety of personal, relational, and work-related settings to deliver freedom, peace, and change when it is needed the most. The Four R Framework was developed out of the philosophy of Critical Realism and was supported in its development by Professor Roy Bhaskar the founder of Critical Realism
I have worked in a variety of settings. To give you a better idea of what I do, I work with coaching executives who are specialising in organisation culture change. I have also provided therapeutic and coaching support in some very unique settings, such as prison, and with street sleepers, I have created well-being programmes called Wisdom Works for older people, developing well-being mindfulness walking practices, and as a Run England running coaching I have developed a running for depression programme. I also provide workshops and retreats that explore how to live a life that honours the best way of being. Within organisations, I support the connection to well-being practice which enable both the organisation and staff to flourish through the re connection to positive emotions, a deeper sense of enactment of intention and meaning, more rewarding relationships, and a wider sweep of personal and organisational positive achievements.

The core of my work is this: we are all on a search for true meaning. The Greeks understood this search for truth, which today we see as “alethic”. With more than 20 years of experience in helping people find their true meaning, I strive to help, support, and grow each of my client’s capacity for freedom - and elimination from the things that hold them back.
