Managing Your Return to Work After Loss

Grief is never straightforward—and returning to work after bereavement or the end of a significant relationship is one of the hardest transitions to make. Work can offer structure and stability, but it can also feel overwhelming when emotions are raw and unpredictable.

In my latest blog, I share practical strategies for easing this transition, from communicating with managers and colleagues to staying organised and building resilience. I also include a case study showing how small gestures of understanding can make a big difference.

Grief is deeply personal, and no two people experience it in the same way.

Technology fuels innovation — but also stress, digital overload & burnout. Leaders must put people before platforms. Recognition & empathy are the real drivers of productivity.

Technology has revolutionised how we work. It connects us globally, speeds up processes, and fuels innovation.

I'm deeply honoured to receive an MBE for services to stress management and mental health in the King's Birthday Honours List.

This recognition reflects not just my work, but a shared commitment to championing wellbeing in workplaces across our communities.

This award belongs to everyone who has stood alongside me in breaking down barriers and creating conversations where there were once only whispers. Mental health challenges touch us all, yet too many still suffer in silence.

The journey is far from over. I remain committed to amplifying the voices of those who cannot yet speak up for themselves and to dismantling the stigma that surrounds stress and mental health.
Together, we can build workplaces where seeking help is seen as strength, not weakness.

Thank you to every person, organisation, and advocate who has made this mission possible. Your support has been the foundation of everything we've achieved.

Disconnect to Reconnect: Strengthening Relationships in a Digital World

In our digital age, it's easy to let smartphones interfere with our most important relationships. While they keep us connected, they can also create distance, especially during moments meant for genuine interaction, like family meals.

By establishing "no phone zones" and prioritizing face-to-face connections, we can strengthen our bonds with loved ones and set a positive example for our children. Let’s be mindful of who’s in front of us, not just who’s calling from afar.

Don’t let your phone be the reason your relationships suffer. Disconnect to reconnect.
