Recently, I spoke at a Lunch & Learn and shared a small experiment—pushing a square into a circle.
It was a gentle yet striking illustration of what happens when we try to fit into spaces that don’t honour who we truly are.
✖️️Identity bends. ✖️Confidence thins.
✖️Brilliance dims.
The room felt the message instantly.
In the corporate world, many women are taught — Subtly and loudly —
✖️To blend in.
✖️To soften their voice.
✖️To shrink their brilliance.
✖️To fit neatly into the “round hole” of what leadership is supposed to look like.
But here’s the truth:
Why fit in when you were designed to show up and shine!
The idiom square peg in a round hole describes someone who doesn’t fit a particular environment or expectation — not because they lack ability, but because the space itself was never shaped for their strengths.
And many corporate women know this feeling intimately.

yet the system often rewards sameness over authenticity. But your edges are not flaws.
They are the architecture of your personal brand.
