The Promotion That Never Happened

For five years, Sarah was the "engine room" of her department.

She arrived early, left late, and executed every project flawlessly.

Her spreadsheets were works of art. Her strategy was bulletproof.

When the Director of Operations role opened up, Sarah didn’t worry. “My work speaks for itself,” she told herself.
