As we continue our retrospective look at some of our recent completed projects, we’re turning our attention to kitchens that make use of darker colour palettes and richer accents. It’s a great reminder of just how much character and atmosphere deeper tones can bring to a space.
A darker palette can give a kitchen a real sense of depth and permanence, especially when it’s balanced with thoughtful lighting, natural textures and lighter surfaces. Charcoal, deep blue, graphite and rich timber tones can make a space feel more architectural and cocooning, while darker accents help define zones, frame features and give the room a stronger identity.
Used well, darker colours don’t necessarily make a kitchen feel smaller. They can add contrast, drama and confidence, turning the kitchen into something that feels considered, distinctive and entirely its own.
