Can temporary architecture become a research instrument?
MBA Architects is pleased to share a new article exploring the development of Perimeter Field, from a full-scale temporary architectural prototype into a living research platform.
The project investigates the relationship between people, space and landscape, bringing together temporary architecture, landscape activation, human-building interaction, sound, adaptive reuse and Research through Design.
Rather than considering architecture as a finished object, Perimeter Field explores how building, observation and experimentation can become part of a continuous research process.

A small milestone, but a meaningful one.
I'm pleased to have earned the Inclusive Mentor in Architecture badge from the American Institute of Architects (AIAU).

Throughout my career—as an architect, educator, and team leader—I've always believed that sharing knowledge is as important as creating good architecture. Mentorship is about listening, encouraging growth, building confidence, and helping others find their own path.
This recognition reinforces my commitment to fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and supportive professional community.

I'm looking forward to putting these principles into practice in future collaborations, teaching opportunities, and design studios.

Today I'm recovering the aluminum frame from an end-of-life photovoltaic panel, giving valuable materials a second life instead of sending them to waste.

Behind every competition there are weeks of research, ideas, doubts, late nights, and continuous discussion. This recognition confirms that it is worth continuing to invest time and energy in design quality and architectural experimentation.

Great evening at the LEMA London flagship store for the Salone del Mobile 2026 presentation.
It was inspiring to listen to Carlo Colombo, Architect & Designer, in conversation with Simon Hamilton and to experience the atmosphere around the new collection preview. Events like this are always a reminder of how Italian design continues to combine elegance, research, craftsmanship and timeless simplicity.
A pleasure to meet designers, creatives and professionals from across the industry in such a refined setting in London.

Olivetti Theatre: Architecture as Civic Infrastructure
We are pleased to share a new article presenting the concept and research behind the Olivetti Theatre project in Ivrea, Italy — recently awarded the Gold Mention – ISOPAN “Flat Roof” Award in the international competition organized by YAC and Manni Group.
The project explores how architecture can once again become a catalyst for civic life, collective identity, and cultural exchange, reinterpreting Adriano Olivetti’s humanistic vision of the “factory-city” through a contemporary civic and environmental approach.
Rather than imagining the theatre as an isolated object, the proposal develops a permeable public platform integrating culture, education, workspaces, wellness facilities, adaptive reuse, and green public infrastructure within the historic Olivetti campus.
The article presents the architectural strategy, urban vision, environmental systems, and spatial concepts behind the project.
