What do I mean by this??

Sometimes we know what we want to say and know what we are trying to achieve but as clear as it is to us in our own heads we do not always articulate that properly for someone else to follow those steps and reach the same outcome.

If you are thinking of hiring a VA it is important to remember we do not know your thoughts. If we had this skill it would be AMAZING but as of right now we need you to to take it 5 steps back and start there with your instruction.

Over time your VA will become accustomed to the way you work, they will know where the documents are saved, they will know how to create the document so you can cut straight to step 5 of the process.

Like with every relationship good communication is paramount.

It just takes a bit of time to put in that extra effort but will save you time and money in the long run!

. It is a misconception that you can hand over a ton of tasks for your business when there is no organisation or structure from you as a business owner.
If you want to get the most out of your VA you need to come to them with at least a basic level of organisation.

🛑 Before you hire a VA here are 4 very very basic examples of questions to ask yourself:

♦️ Do I have all the login details for my VA to access any necessary accounts?

♦️Is my price list up to-date so my VA can quote my customers efficiently and correctly?

♦️Is the document I asked my VA to send out actually in the place I said it would be with the title I said it would have?

♦️If I do not have these things in order am I willing to put some time aside to change that?

Now if you do not have these things in place then this is certainly something your VA can arrange for you but that needs to be made clear in the beginning. Remember you are paying your VA for their time, do you want them to spend that time searching for a document that doesn't exist? Or sending you constant emails asking for information?

The questions you need to ask yourself may differ slightly but by having things in order, your VA can spend their time doing what you actually hired them for.

Time is money after all 🕰

You may be nervous about letting go of your baby(business) but the growth you will see will be tremendous. The benefits of freeing up some of your time are endless. Just like a nanny we spend time getting to know you and your business and finding out what routines and systems you have in place and we gradually get to a place where you are comfortable to hand over to us.

If you wish we will happily keep you updated on your "baby" throughout the day/week.

Because there are no limits on the amount of times we try.
If there is anything you're not the best at or keep failing at just try again.

What better day to start then a Monday or any day that ends in 'Y' for that matter. I suck at social media posting so here is my retry. It is always the last thing on my very long list of to-do's. Maybe I need a VA 🤔

When is the the right time to outsource a part of your business? At the start? When you feel you have made enough profit? When you no longer want to do it?❓

There is probably no right answer it is personal to every business. Some business owners hold their businesses very dearly it is literally their baby and they do not want to hand over that control whereas others just want to see there business run without them having to be involved.

Both options are completely understandable.

I like to be with my clients right from the beginning and grow as an integral part of their team.

Outsourcing is investing. Investing in your business. Most investments are good to make early on and reap the benefits of that growth.

But then I am also here to jump in and save you just before you fall off the cliff and get sucked into that mountain of admin destruction. 🤯

Good Admin and good customer service are ESSIENTIAL coggs behind every business. It is important to keep those areas well oiled and if you don't have the time to do that then maybe it is time to outsource :)
