Maharashtra is building Mumbai 3.0.

The Government of Maharashtra (GoM) is moving ahead with 3.0, a new planned city spread across 323.44 sq km in Raigad district, near Mumbai.

Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has appointed Singapore-based Surbana Jurong North Asia to prepare the project’s Vision Document and Master Plan.

The proposed city is strategically located near the and Navi Mumbai International Airport , with access to major ports and existing transport networks.

Maharashtra emerged as India’s biggest FDI destination in FY2025-26 with $18.4 billion, followed by Karnataka at $12.9 billion. Delhi attracted $6.2 billion, while Gujarat received $5.7 billion and Tamil Nadu recorded $4.7 billion during the year.

Haryana attracted $4.5 billion, Telangana $2.3 billion, Rajasthan $1 billion and Uttar Pradesh $0.95 billion. The data highlights the states driving India’s foreign investment landscape, with strong inflows supporting business, infrastructure, real estate and economic growth across key markets.
