We at Gallowglass Security are incredibly proud and deeply honoured to support the amazing Lorraine Jones-Burrell and the Dwayne Simpson Foundation in their tireless efforts to combat knife crime and uplift young people in our communities.

After experiencing the unimaginable loss of her son, Lorraine has transformed her grief into a powerful mission of hope and safety for future generations. Her unwavering dedication, strength, and resilience inspire us every day, and we are thrilled to stand alongside her in this vital work. 💙

We are also delighted to share that Lorraine’s extraordinary contributions have been formally recognised. A Brixton pastor, Lorraine was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the King’s New Year Honours list for her dedicated services to young people and her relentless efforts to tackle knife crime. This well-deserved honour highlights the profound impact of her work.

We’ve been privileged to support the Dwayne Simpson Foundation for several years, and we’re excited to continue contributing to their impactful initiatives.

At Gallowglass Security, we are seeing increasing demand for the provision of practical external training for organisations providing temporary accommodation to Rough Sleepers. We have garnered unparalleled experience and expertise in dealing with Homeless people initially spearheading multi agency task forces concentrating on Central London Rough Sleeper hotspots, with many positive outcomes in helping long term Rough Sleepers to move into accommodation and enabling outreach workers to provide much needed support. Subsequently, during the Covid lockdowns we were tasked with supporting hotels housing Rough Sleepers, at one stage deployed at eighteen hotels managed by five boroughs.

Subsequently, we regularly provide security support for organisations housing Rough Sleepers over the Christmas period. As a result of this work, we were approached to provide nonphysical conflict management and de-escalation training for staff and volunteers working in temporary housing organisations.

This was delivered on Saturday by Crispin Wood and Yousef Eldarat. Today we received excellent feedback:

“Excellent and hit all the right logical notes” … “Positive, practical framework, where previously training was theoretical and dry” … “Examples of real scenarios encountered by our staff in the training was fantastic, really helpful and made a big difference” …” We really liked Crispin and Yousef. They had a tough gig, the team had been through four days of training already, the room was hot and stuffy, everything was against them, but they got the team engaged and learning”.

Well done, and a big thank you to Crispin and Yousef.

🌟 Shoutout to Our Hero, Stiliyan! 🌟

A couple of weeks ago, a remarkable act of kindness and bravery occurred when a member of our team, Stiliyan, went above and beyond during a crisis. While a family was enjoying their evening in Sloane Square, they returned to their car to find it had been broken into. Without hesitation, Stilliyan intervened, scaring off the thief and preventing further loss.

Not only did he provide the family with dashcam footage of the incident, but he also took additional steps to ensure they could safely drive home. He personally sealed the car's broken window with cardboard and tape, declining any payment offer, believing firmly in helping others in need.

We are incredibly proud to have Stiliyan on our team—his actions exemplify the spirit of community and support we strive to uphold. Thank you, Stiliyan, for being a true hero!

International Women’s Day (IWD) rightly enjoys a profile and global reach through which we can celebrate the momentous social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.

IWD also allows us to reflect on the fact that despite the remarkable achievements of Women; that there still so much to be done to raise awareness of the need, and to achieve universal gender equality, in order to secure positive change for the advancement of women.

The 2023 IWD campaign theme is to get the world taking about why equal opportunities are not enough and that true inclusion and belonging can only be achieved by equitable action as encapsulated by the call to arms

It was a great pleasure to have provided security team for the
National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) rally at Trades Union Congress (TUC) with keynote speaker Mick Lynch. Invited to speak also was senator for Vermont Bernie Sanders
; being supported by our suave and ever vigilant Crispin Wood.

The former presidential hopeful tells rail union members in the UK they are "being noticed in the US and around the world".

It was a great pleasure for event security specialists Peter Majeed and Elizabeth Shell of Gallowglass Security, to welcome the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to the natural elegant splendor of Kew Gardens.

The purpose of the Royal visit was to support an educational initiative to promote the Duke of Cambridge’s Earthshot initiative which encourages Children to generate big bold ideas to repair the planet.

The Royal couple were accompanied also by London Mayor Siddiq Khan together with TV presenter Steve Backshall and double Olympic Rowing Champion Helen Glover.

Judging from the positive and cheerful levels of engagement from the students of Heathlands School in Hounslow, we don’t doubt that ideas for green innovation will have taken root.

The Duchess of Cambridge, 39, dusted off an emerald Erdem coat last worn in 2016 for the outing to Kew Gardens, pairing the statement piece with a fitted lime green jumper.
