Sporting Giants are committed to long term carbon reduction in sports. We’re excited to launch Sports Carbon Literacy Training 2026, a certified, sector-specific programme designed to help the global sports industry turn climate ambition into real action.

Certified and accredited by the The Carbon Literacy Project, the training is built for rights holders, federations, NOCs, sponsors and organisations across sport, the training delivers practical, evidence-based Carbon Literacy education tailored to the sector’s unique challenges.

With 8 hours of interactive online learning, available as both open and tailored courses, we’re supporting professionals at every level to drive meaningful, long-term sustainability progress.

Stoked to have won the Carbon Reduction Award (and Wimbledon Championship 😉) with UK Sport and Useful Projects at British Association for Sustainable Sport Awards for the UK Sport Accelerator Programme.

This was a flagship project for Sporting Giants. We loved collaborating on such a scale with with Useful Projects, UK Sport and all of the National Governing Bodies - a huge team effort.

We truly believe the programme is a game changer for sport, and the International Olympic Committee – IOC has acknowledged the impact of the programme as an umbrella model for the industry. We are excited to see what comes from the programme over the next year.

We are a B Corp!

After two years of intentional effort, we’re proud to share that Sporting Giants is now a Certified B Corporation. From the very beginning, we modelled the business on B Corp principles—balancing people, planet and profit—and it’s incredibly rewarding to now be part of this global community.

Achieving certification was no small feat, and we want to give a huge shoutout to Carolyn Lumley for leading the charge and in between starting and passing she managed to fit in having her second child!

This moment also marks our two-year anniversary—and we couldn’t be prouder of our partners, clients, and team who have supported us on this journey.

It’s B Corp Month, and we finally get to say: We are B Corp. We’re excited to keep learning, improving and collaborating with others to make more "Sport with Purpose".

This recognition is especially meaningful as we celebrate what we’ve accomplished in just 18 months since launching Sporting Giants. It’s a testament to the hard work of our dedicated team, the trust and collaboration of our amazing clients, partners, federations, brands and more, and our shared vision for a sustainable, profitable and innovative future for sport.

It’s been a real pleasure to work with Daniel Hook & Nas Al-Sabaeiova from Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby to develop their first Environmental Sustainabiliy Strategy and Action Plan.

This support has been made available to over 30 National Governing Bodies as part of UK Sport’s Accelerator Programme. We have been working on this landmark project with our friends Useful Projects and this is one of many more plans that will be launched that gives UK Olympic and Paralympic sports a roadmap to decarbonise and work across broader environmental sustainability issues.

Environmental sustainability – GBWR is helping to create a more sustainable sporting future.

For 2024/25, GBWR launches its inaugural environmental sustainability strategy and action plan, supported through the UK Sport Accelerator programme with Sporting Giants and Useful Projects.

As a national governing body we have the platform, and responsibility, to implement and promote more environmentally sustainable practices throughout our community of staff, members, and partners. We recognise the importance of acting now to limit the impact of climate change and ensure we create a more sustainable sporting future.

🎉 Exciting News! 🎉
We are thrilled to announce that Sporting Giants has been named a FINALIST for the 2024 Sport Business Awards as BEST BUSINESS SERVING SPORT – UNDER £3M TURNOVER! 🏆

We have only been up and running for 16 months. We couldn’t have achieved this nomination without the support of our amazing clients and partners. 🙌

Thank you all for being part of our journey. It’s a real honour to be finalists and we look forward to celebrating, or having a great time losing, with all in attendance in November! 💥

Our Co-Founder Dan was delighted to be invited to a special screening of the incredibly inspiring in Southampton along with a Q&A panel about policy and efforts to reduce plastic ending up in our oceans which is a subject very close to our hearts.

Dan took along his 7 year old daughter who found the film so inspiring that she wants to join an expedition when she is older!

Did you know the UN estimate there are 51 trillion pieces of plastic in our oceans? July is a special month Follow for their work on plastic waste and the impact it has on our oceans.
