Rain or shine we bring you flowers.

Last week Friday it was pouring down with rain, but your daughters still came to lay flowers on your graveside. I managed to add a little rosemary and the verbana from my garden to your arrangement.

It reminded us of the day you were buried, the rain was heavy, we were all getting wet, but eveyone stayed to the end, to sing in your honour and see you laid to rest.

I always wonder what goes on up there, once your soul has been set free. One day we'll meet again and you'll tell me.

You're forever in our hearts dad, connected by that invisible thread of love.

May your soul travel on in peace. ❤️

Remembering loved ones.

There are some people who wonder why we visit grave sides and place flowers when the person who has passed is obviously no longer there.

I personally find that it is a place of peace, where I can go and quietly reflect on the person that has passed, tidy up their grave or even meet with friends and family to remember them.

To me when visiting someone in a cemetery, it can be a beautiful place to find solitude, there can be such peace and tranquility found. It is such an escape from the outside world.

Flowers placed at a graveside on a death anniversary in remembrance, is a form of comfort to those left behind keeping the connection to that invisible thread that binds us, reminding us of that ever lasting love we have.💜

I loved how to me when placed side by side, the two sheaves together formed a heart shape that also reminded me of angel wings.😇

Flowers feed our soul in so many ways!

They comfort you, offering healing, they take you on a trip down memory lane, they even feed your body as a tea.

This week 4 years ago I travelled in an ambulance with my dad for him to be admitted into hospital. At the end of the week he left my world.

Today, as I do a little weeding there is a particular flower working it's magic on me. They are giving me the gift of beauty for my eyes, the sensation of comfort as I draw more in from the vibration of the violet colour, and their natural healing energy to lift me up to reflect on the good memories that are held in my heart.💜

The flowers Verbena Rigida seen in the picture, are the ones aiding, and working with me. They are not as pink as they show in the picture.

These are the flowers feeding my soul in these moments of thoughtfulness .

Are any feeding your soul today?

A reflection of nature's cycles

I find that nature reflects our lives with her cycles for us to see in the trees, as she moves through the seasons, she shows a reflection of the cycles of life, with the birth of spring appearing as buds and blossoms on the trees, representing new beginnings and hope, as she moves through summer, she shows us the growth of the fruit on trees and how the leaves fill the trees, a representation of how full life can be. As autumn approaches, we see the leaves fall and the branches start to appear, showing us the extensions in our lives and how when winter comes the fallen leaves begin to decay and the flora and fauna retreat until mother nature feels the strength to begin again.

Don't you think it reflects how life can be for us? We are born into our families, we grow and flourish we experience happiness, love, the ups and downs of family life, a fullness life and at any time loss can arrive, leaving us feeling like there is no hope and no tomorrow. Without realising it, we fall into the cycle of nature, going within to rebuild a new life.

Always know that after rain the sunshine always appears.

Creating sympathy arrangements is something I get a lot of pleasure from doing. Knowing that this tribute of flowers is part of the farewell to a loved one.

It feels even more satisfying when the customer writes you back and says thank you and expresses how it made them feel.

"Thank you so much Yvette for your attentiveness and guidance in selecting the flowers for my mother’s funeral.

I had no idea where to begin and by the end of our first conversation we knew exactly what I thought my mum would’ve wanted. That was down to your ability to ask the right questions and use your knowledge of flowers to enlighten me and help me choose.

You created the most beautiful casket spray and bouquets and two weeks after my mum’s funeral, the flowers continue to blossom. My family and I can’t thank you enough."

What flowers speak to you?

When you go to pick up a bunch of flowers for yourself of for someone else, do you take a moment and see if they convey the message you want to send, or if they reflect the person who are giving them to, even if it is yourself.

When I create a flower arrangement for customers, I intuitively get a feeling what flower will reflect their intentions or the person they are sending the flowers to.

Next time you go to buy someone a bunch of flowers, ask yourself the question, does it represent what I want them to feel? Or does it reflect an aspect of that person? See what comes up for you.

A bouquet of Chrysanthemums.

What I love about this bouquet is that Chrysanthemums carry the medicine of family harmony and bringing balance into the family home. I also love the colour palate with the gentle softness that the pink tones bring.

This is a bunch I gave to my mum for her birthday, a true reflection of what she does, bringing balance and harmony to the family.
