One of the new things I was able to deliver as Festival Director at the Windrush Caribbean Film Festival was a new capsule series called The Journey Continues.

Co-produced with award-winning journalist, Nadine Drummond, the series explores topics in and around the Caribbean diaspora, Windrush, and the Arts.

Nadine and I have worked on several interviews together including Oscar winners Sir Steve McQueen and Barry Jenkins, and BLM co-founder Alicia Garza to name but a few. As a woman passionate about the arts and Caribbean culture it made sense I reunited with her for this special project.

A huge thank you to all those who took part in the series.

You can view the episodes on the Windrush Caribbean Film Festival YouTube channel

After eight years in business, I had to get honest:

My business had evolved but I hadn’t taken the time to see how.

And running on autopilot was costing me more than time, it was costing me clarity.

Moodboards weren’t cutting it.
I didn’t need another masterclass.
I needed to pause. Reflect. And have a proper word with myself.

That’s how The 360 Business () Deck: Foundations and Flow came to life.

It’s 85 guided prompts designed to help you:

– Understand how your business is changing
– Reconnect with your purpose and priorities
– Make intentional decisions that move things forward

This isn’t a blueprint or a shortcut but an opportunity to get honest—with your business, and with yourself.

Use it weekly. Watch what unfolds.

This year's theme for the sixth annual Windrush Caribbean Film Festival is Belonging, Being and Becoming. It's nice to begin to see our campaign dedicated to the theme 'in the wild'.

WCFF is about people whether you see them in front of the camera in the actors or behind the scenes either producing these films or our team making the festival happen and this is what this campaign represents. All the ways we can belong, be and become and how someone somewhere is a part of making things in our world happen.

Make sure you follow the festival on LinkedIn or your favourite social channel and book mark the website, windrushcaribbeanfilmfestival.com

Today I was honoured to attend the installation of British actor Ray Fearon as the new President of Rose Bruford College.

It was quite moving hearing the experiences and aspirations of outgoing President writer Bernadine Evaristo, the professional journey of Ray Fearon and honorary fellow comedian Mo Gilligan.

I also got to meet the multihyphonate Annie Domingo which was AWESOME.

People don't see the blood, sweat, tears and doubts talent go through to 'make it'. This layer is even thicker when you're a Black or Brown person.

Hearing Ray Fearon talk about times in drama school when he thought pursuing an acting career was futile really resonated deeply.

And hearing Mo Gilligan discuss the fact that as a teen he didn't even know schools like Rose Bruford would even be open to him to now becoming a fellow struck a chord.

It hurts how many Black children miss out on opportunities not just because of our cultural desire to produce doctors, lawyers and engineers but because these opportunities are often not presented to them.

As a talent manager you see the highs but also the graft and disappointments. To hear these honest accounts was quite moving to be honest. I wish the songbird - a creative himself - could have heard those stories first hand.

It's funny how no matter how old you are hearing other people's successes serves as inspiration. It was a reminder of the value of perseverance.

Thank you to the Principle Professor Randall S Whittaker for the invitation.

Congratulations to on the cover reveal of her debut children's book, Grandma's Locs!

Posted • 🟡 Introducing... GRANDMA'S LOCS! 🟡

Grandma has beautiful locs. Whenever she comes to visit, she wears them in so many wonderful ways!

An infectious tale about the beauty of natural Black hair and the love shared between family, GRANDMA'S LOCS follows the magical bond between a loving grandma and her curious young grandson.

H U M B L E D. H A R D.

I was deeply humbled to be presented with this today.

This 1 of 1 Limited Edition print of RZA has never truly been seen in the world, and it was one of the first images I saw when signing my friend and client Tee Max (). I fell hard for this piece as it was so beautifully serene.

But do you know why this piece means more? Because to have a one of a kind Tee Max piece is just mindblowing to me. Tee is a superme talent, so to have my own unique piece of his body of work is incredible, especially when I know some of the amazing things in the pipeline for him. This is an actual piece of HISTORY. A representation of one of the most important Black British photographers of our time. Unfortunately, not enough people know that yet. But they will.

Just unbelievable...
