Considering one of the team here literally keeps a framed photo of Chef Ramsay on his desk for daily motivation, this Shoot was definitely one ticked off the Shoot Blue bucket list!

Ten years ago, the economics of full-frame anamorphic cinematography were simple: unless you had a massive budget to rent Panavision, Hawk, or Cooke glass, then anamorphic lenses were just not an option.

The idea of a full-frame, PL-mount anamorphic lens existing for under £3,000 wasn’t just unlikely; it was completely inconceivable. It was a creative choice reserved almost exclusively for high-end commercial projects and big-budget features.

But the cinema lens market has undergone a quiet revolution. Chinese manufacturers have challenged what once felt like an unassailable old guard, completely dismantling the idea that genuine widescreen character and robust cine mechanics must carry an exclusionary price tag.

As some of you know, we do a lot more besides camera rental... 📡

For the new Lay’s FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign, the whole script was built around a live video call featuring Messi, Beckham, Alexia Putellas, Thierry Henry, and Steve Carell. Problem was, the location was a complete signal dead zone.

For this assignment, we deployed a bonded Starlink and Peplink solution for the team. When you have that level of talent on the clock, the connection just needs to be bulletproof.

It’s a great example of the 360 on-set support we provide to keep shoots moving, no matter how remote or challenging the location. 🎬⚡️
