Our upcoming Fine Antique Arms, Armour & Militaria live sale showcases arms and armour from a wide geographical and chronological range, including a rare Tibetan dagger dating from the sixteenth to eighteenth centuries, a rare German Gothic steel mace of the late fifteenth century, a rare North German etched burgonet made in Brunswick circa 1540, and a highly decorated Persian kulah khud and dhal from the Qajar period of the nineteenth century.
Together, these objects illustrate the diversity of martial traditions across Europe and Asia, encompassing edged weapons, impact arms, helmets, and shields, while highlighting regional approaches to metalworking, decoration, and military equipment over more than four centuries.
