Looking forward to talking about fundraising at Photofusion on the 4th August. If I was asked what is one thing that helps ensure success in fundraising, I'd reply that it's the fit between you/your needs and the prospective funders interests. Articulating your need in a clear, concise and compelling way is important but alignment is the sweet spot.

• Donors don’t think about your work rationally. They respond emotionally, instinctively, spontaneously.
• Direct experience of what your work is about creates a connection.
• Donors support work aligned with their own personal passions, experiences and values.
