After God destroyed the entire generation of Noah and saved only Noah and his family, God placed a rainbow in the sky as the sign of His promise to show mercy rather than judgement. Since that time, God, in keeping His word has never destroyed all inhabitants of the earth again: And He will not, because He is faithful to His promise.

There is God's rainbow in your sky. It is a reminder that God is faithful, and He keeps His promises.

What promise has God given you before, about anything? You must never listen to the lies of the devil and his attempt to blackmail God. No matter how dark the cloud appears, there is a beautiful rainbow in your sky, and after the rain the sun will shine again.

Today, I want you to recollect God's faithful promises to you, give thanks to God for them and ask Him to bring His word of promise to accurate fulfillment.

Get ready, the time when God will surprise you has come. You will laugh best because you will laugh last.

*ANYTHING ROBBING YOU OF YOUR BRAIN?*

_*Alcohol and prostitution have robbed my people of their brains (Hosea 4:11, NLT).*_

God complained about Israel, His people, that they have been robbed of their brains! They were no longer thinking straight. Things that should be obvious were no longer clear. They had been robbed of their understanding. They were no longer wise. The result? Their vision was no longer clear. Their direction became wobbled. Their ways were no longer straight. Their progress became badly hampered. They were no longer going forward but backward. That was the sorry state of Israel and God was lamenting.

What robbed Israel of her brains? Alcohol, prostitution, idolatry, unbelief and sin. They consequently became so small, so unimportant, lost all their influence and significance, and were judged.

Is anything robbing you of your brains? Is anything hindering you from thinking straight? Is anything corrupting your sense of judgement? Is anything blurring your vision? Is anything making your way crooked? Yes, bribery can, adultery can, lying can, deception can, robbery can. Not believing the Word of the Lord, or His prophets can. Unholiness of any form can.

Your brain is the seat of your thoughts, your intellect, consequently the seat of your decisions and actions. As a man thinks, so is he. If there is any crookedness or perversion in your brain, it will affect your sense of judgement, and make your decisions to be flawed. Consequently, your moves and actions based on wrong decisions shall produce wrong and devastating results and your progress shall be hindered.

Today, we all need a positive brain washing. We need to let the water of the Word of God run through our brains continuously, purifying our thinking process and subsequently our whole life. This will give us the mind of Christ and we will begin to think along the line of God's Word. It is time for you to eliminate whatever it is that is robbing you of your brain so you can begin to think the thoughts of great men. In the Name of Jesus Christ you will be great.

*RUNNING ON THE SPOT*

_*The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount: Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates (Deut 1:6-7).*_

There are people who are moving in a circle, round the same spot. It appears as though they are making progress but in reality they are not. It's like generating a lot of heat but no light. It's like playing the game "merry-go-round" or "running on the spot."

These people are never steady; they go up and down regularly. That was the case with the children of Israel. The journey they were to take in eleven days, took them forty years. Those that came out of Egypt didn't even make it except Joshua and Caleb. They were in Kadesh-Barnea for so long moving round the same mountain, and as far as they were concerned, they were making progress.

_*Forty years after the people of Israel left Mount Horeb-though it takes eleven days to travel by foot from Mount Horeb to Kadesh-barnea! (Deut 1:2 TLB).*_

Then the Lord spoke to them through Moses. God said, _*"Look, you have dwelt by this mountain long enough."*_ A mountain is the symbol of problems; therefore, enough is enough; go on and possess your inheritance.

Don't let anything turn you into a wanderer. Think about the plans of God for your life. What is the next step you are taking? Where are you going? What is His purpose for your life? Don't wander. Move along with divine direction, moving straight to your goal. Jesus is ready to bring a wanderer into the path of righteousness. He said,

_*... I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life (John 8:12).*_

We are a people of purpose, a people of destiny, we should know where we are going and the steps we are taking in God's plan for our lives. God is a God of progress; the devil is the exact opposite. He wants people tied down, projects and plans to be tied down. When you see that the plans or projects you are involved in is not making progress, you have to rebuke the hands of the devil on it, because we have complete authority over the devil through the name of Jesus. At the mention of that name, every knee must bow. Go and prosper in Jesus' name!

*YOU WILL BECOME STRONGER AND STRONGER*

_*Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David: but David waxed stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul waxed weaker and weaker (Il Samuel 3:1).*_

During the civil war in Israel when the house of Saul was pitched against the house of David; the Bible says that while David became stronger and stronger, the house of Saul became weaker and weaker. It is the will of God that each one of His children become stronger by the day. "They go from strength to strength; everyone of them appear in Zion before God" (Ps. 84:7). Our path is to shine brighter day by day (Prov. 4:18). We are to go from glory to glory, transformed daily by the Spirit of the living God (II Corin. 3:18).

Why was the house of Saul waxing weaker and weaker? Here are some reasons:
1. There was no more any anointed leader who was moving according to a clear heavenly vision.
2. The Spirit of the Lord had left the house of Saul.
3. The house of Saul was already under divine judgement and a curse.
4. The house of Saul was not turning to God in true repentance and humility, that God may be merciful.
5. The house of Saul was fighting a battle it could never win- it was a battle against a man truly anointed of God, a man who had the word of the Lord, and a man who was being led by the Holy Spirit.

You should never engage yourself in the battle of the house of Saul. Never fight against a man or woman truly anointed of God, walking by the leading of the Holy Spirit. Why was the house of David waxing stronger and stronger? Here are some reasons:

1. The house of David had a truly anointed leader who was hearing from God.
2. The house of David enjoyed a clear prophetic direction. God was speaking to them clearly, day by day.
3.The house of David had faithful men who were walking in complete obedience to their spiritual leader.
4. The house of David was a house of true worshippers. They knew how to worship the Most High God.
5. The house of David was a house of prayer. They were men and women who sought God with all their heart.
6. The house of David had a definite promise of God concerning the battle they were fighting. God had told David he was going to be king of Israel. Even his enemies knew this to be true (II Sam. 3:9).

The house of David was fighting the battle of the Lord.

Make up your mind today to be a member of the house of David and not of the house of Saul.

God is ever there at all times and seasons to strengthen, comfort, bless and help you. God is not a million light years away; He is the God at hand, not a God afar off. He is ever there to liberate, deliver, and heal. He is the present help in the time of need.

It is your right to partake of the all-purpose blessings of this ever-ready, ever-available God. For you to enjoy this, you must cultivate these lifestyles:

● *Disciplined, dogged and diligent life:* Ready to follow His teachings, doctrines and sayings. His words must be obeyed implicitly at all times and seasons. Compliance brings liberty, joy and strength.

● *A lifestyle of servant hood:* You must aspire to be God's servant, serving with your skill, talent and abilities. A servant is humble, unassuming and available. This is all about sacrifices, honour and privilege.

● *True love:* Love is said to be the greatest. Every believer is expected to epitomize this agape love, an unconditional love that bears and endures all things. Love can actually cover or throw a veil over countless sins by not taking account of the misdeeds.

● *Suffering:* We must be ready to suffer for righteousness sake. However, this suffering is not synonymous with poverty; it rather means discipline. Time of prayer may connote suffering of the flesh for a greater glory. Whatever sacrifice you make for the Lord, will yield a lot of spiritual dividends. Remember, in thick and thin, you must show forth His glory.

● *Constant waiting on the Lord:* You constantly wait on Him to take His order; ready to conform to His purpose and never to have your own way.

We are God's people with a mission, we are gifts at the cutting edge of blessing the world with compassion of Jesus; let us do our best and challenge other lives, friends and colleagues to work for the Lord.

*THE STRENGTH THAT YOU NEED*

_*When I pray, you answer me, you encouraged me by giving me the strength that I need (Psalm 138:3. NLT).*_

For you to be victorious and fulfill the purpose of God for your life, you need strength. Real strength comes from God. It is the God of Israel that gives strength and power to His people. God will give you strength and make you a success in every area of your life (Psalm 68:35).

There are seven kinds of strength that I want to urge you to pray for, asking the Lord to clothe you with strength in these areas.

*Spiritual strength:* That you are alive spiritually, truly born again, free from sin, filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, strengthened in your inner man by the Holy Spirit, doing exploits for God. This is the most fundamental of all strength. This is what Paul prayed again and again for the Ephesian believers (Ephesians 1:15-21; 3:14-21). Pray for spiritual strength.

*Moral strength:* This is the ability to choose what is right, to refuse what is wrong, to say No to sin and temptations and to live by positive principles, no matter what. This strength usually flows from the spiritual. It enables you to live a holy and godly life in the midst of the perversions of the world. This was how Daniel lived in Babylon (Daniel 1:8). Pray for moral strength.

*Emotional strength:* This is the ability to control your emotion and to master your soul. It helps you to subdue negative emotions like anger, bitterness, pride, unforgiveness, grudges, stress, and other destructive tendencies. It helps you to stay calm and composed under any circumstance. This strength also flows from the spiritual. Pray for emotional strength.

*Mental strength:* Here, we talk of a profound depth of knowledge, understanding, wisdom, tact, prudence, and discretion. This is the strength of builders, the scientists, the sage, and those who create wealth. This strength also flows from the spiritual. True wisdom is the gift of God. Pray for mental strength.

*Physical strength:* This means you are strong and healthy in your body, healed of every sickness and disease, vibrant and full of life, energy, and zest. Good health is the gift of God. Pray for physical strength.

*Financial strength:* This is the ability to create wealth and to make money come. Ability to multiply silver and gold. Prosperity and abundance come from God. Pray for financial strength.

*Social strength:* You are surrounded with good people. You are properly connected and you enjoy favour with men and women. You enjoy good relationships at home and in the society. Favour is the gift of God. Pray for social strength.

All these dimensions of strength are from God. If you ask Him, He will clothe you with strength. That was what David did and God gave him the strength he needed to fulfill his destiny. This is your day to receive strength from God, so that you too can fulfill your destiny.

*SEEKING THE LORD*

_*Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near (Isaiah 55:6).*_

In the morning that Jesus Christ rose from the dead, the Bible says that Mary Magdalene, Peter and John went out "early, when it was yet dark," to seek the Lord at the place where He was buried.

In their quest to find the Lord, they went out of their home. They went out early in the morning "when it was yet dark" (John 20:1). Without any doubt, this shows their diligence and eagerness in seeking the Lord. They must have learnt this from the Lord who Himself, in the days of His flesh would go out very early "in the morning, a great while before day" to go "into a solitary place" to pray (Mark 1:35).

This is one clear mark of the champions of God. They make it a habit of their lives to wake up very early in the morning, while others are still sleeping, before the noise and all the hustling and bustling of the day begin, at a prime time when they can give God full focus and total concentration, without any distraction whatsoever, to pray.

Abraham always rose up "early in the morning" to seek and to obey the Lord (Genesis 21:14; 22:3).

Jacob learnt to do the same, taking a cue from his father Isaac (Genesis 28:18) who must have learnt it from Abraham.

Moses' habit was to rise early in the morning (Exodus 8:20; 9:13;24:4; 34:4).

Joshua, having learnt it from Moses would always rise early in the morning to seek the Lord (Joshua 3:1, 6:12; 7:16; 8:10).

Gideon's habit was to rise early in the morning (Judges 6:38). Likewise Samuel (I Samuel 15:12), David (I Sam. 17:20), Job (Job 1:5), and our ultimate example, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Master (Mark 1:35).

By doing this, these heroes of the faith demonstrated that God was their priority and they were willing to seek Him diligently with all their hearts. Because they honoured God, He gave them success in their life assignment so they could glorify God on the earth and finish the work that God gave them to do (John 17:4).

You are a champion for God. Rise up and begin to do what champions do. Get up very early, before the breaking of the day and seek the Lord with all your heart and He will direct your path and give you success in all your endeavours.

_*Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).*_

*PRAYER POINTS*
■ Ask the Lord to implant in you the diligence to seek Him early in the morning.
■ Pray against and rebuke every distraction that can possibly hinder you from seeking the Lord early in the morning.
■ Ask the Lord to prosper you in all your ways and give you success in all your endeavours.
■ Pray for every member of your household that they may truly seek the Lord.

*HE WILL NOT HIDE IT FROM YOU*

_*The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant (Psalm 25:14).*_

God delights in revealing His secrets to His people. He wants to unfold to you what the future holds, His plan for your life, and the pathway to His glorious destiny for you. What God loves to reveal is not limited to your life, but about issues that affect you, your family, your church, your nation, and the world.

We, as humans are limited in what we know and what we can see. But God is omniscient! All that happened in eternity past, and all that will happen in eternity to come are present knowledge with Him. He loves to take a bit of that vast knowledge, the ones that are relevant, and give it to you so that you can be well guided in the affairs of your life. It is always the delight of God to reveal stuff to His children. The Bible says: *_"The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law" (Deut. 29:29).*_

If however you would qualify to receive such divinely given insight into the future plan of God and where you fit into, the following conditions must be met.

*1. You must be a child of God.* The secrets of God are not for 'those who are without', they are for those who are within. They are for God's true children. You are one if you have given your life
to Christ.

*2. You must fear the Lord.* The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. This wisdom comes as God reveals His plans to you, and what to do about them. Our text today makes it clear that the secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him. (Psalm 25:14).

*3. You must be filled with the Holy Spirit.* It is the Holy Spirit that takes God's secrets and reveals them to us. When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, it becomes easy for you to receive the secrets of God.

*4. You must meditate in the word of God day by day.* The word of God is the will of God. As the Holy Spirit breathes on God's word while you are meditating on it, the will of God comes very clear to you.

*5.You must spend time with God, in quality prayer, and fasting,* with true worship and heartfelt thanksgiving. You only give your secrets to those who are close to you. Same with God. Develop intimacy with God, and His secrets will be in your possession.

*6 Finally, you must walk in obedience to the revealed will of God.* The secrets of God are not given to you just for the fun of it. They are given to you that you may act upon it. It is in acting upon it that you are truly blessed.

May you walk in the counsel of God all the of your life.

*THIS VERY DAY*

_*And the king repeated his vow: As surely as the LORD lives, who has rescued me from every danger, your son Solomon will be the next king and will sit on my throne this very day, just as I vowed to you before the LORD, the God of Israel (I Kings 1:29-30, NLT).*_

One day can make a real difference, in everything. One day can change a person's life, forever. One day Joseph became the Prime Minister of Egypt. One day, David became the anointed king of Israel. One day, Esther became the queen of Persia. One day, Jesus died on the cross and secured eternal redemption for us.

You can be saved one day. You can be healed one day. You can secure a destiny achievement one day. One day can transform your life positively, gloriously, and permanently.

When David became very old, there were intrigues amongst his children as to who will succeed him as king. Adonijah, one of David's sons even went as far as making himself king without the knowledge of David. But when Bathsheba, Solomon's mother, came in to talk with King David, everything changed. David said, "this very day" your son Solomon will be the king. And it happened that very day.

What will you want God to make happen in your life this very day? You know that our God is able to do everything (Job 42:2). There is absolutely no limit to what He can do in your life or for you "this very day." He can save you. He can heal you. He can give you a life-changing experience. He can give you a clear destiny direction. He can exalt you. He can fulfill your long cherished desire. If only you will believe, you will see the glory of God (John 11:40).

As a rider to this, what can you do "this very day"? You can take a real quality decision today that can alter the course of your life. You can engage in a real breakthrough prayer today that can end all wilderness experiences in your life. You can do an act of kindness that can enrich your family. You can sow a seed this very day that will give you a great harvest tomorrow.

Beloved, this very day is your day of glory. Do not allow God to pass by you without connecting His help and intervention in your current situation. Do not allow this day to pass without doing something that is truly significant.

It is well with you.

_*And the LORD said unto Joshua, This day will I begin to magnify thee in the sight of all Israel that they may know that as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee (Joshua 3:7).*_

*RECEIVE THE SEVEN-FOLD SPIRIT OF GOD*

_*But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you and ve shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in samaria and unto the outermost part of the earth (Acts 1:8).*_

Whenever God wants to use an individual to achieve the extraordinary, He clothes that person with the seven-fold Spirit of the Lord. When the seven-fold spirit of God comes upon you, it means the Holy Spirit has come upon you in the fullness of His grace and power to assist you to do what is not ordinarily possible.

While John the beloved spoke about the seven Spirits of God (Rev. 1:4; 3:1; 4:5; 5:6), it was Isaiah who gave the first insight into the dimensions of the operations of this seven-fold Spirit of God. I have chosen to use the third personal pronoun for the Holy Spirit in this explanation because
He is the third personality of the divine Godhead.
He is the Spirit of the Lord - proceeding from the Father and the Son.
He is the Spirit of wisdom - He imparts uncommon wisdom.
He is the Spirit of understanding - He gives supernatural insight.
He is the Spirit of counsel - The Holy Spirit is the greatest Counsellor on earth.
He is the Spirit of might - He is behind every demonstration of supernatural ability.
He is the Spirit of knowledge. He gives extraordinary knowledge.
He is the Spirit of the fear of God. Everyone who He controls walks in the fear of God.
The greatest equipping you need to accomplish your life assignment is for the Spirit of the Lord to come upon you.

You do not need to be a Pastor or an Evangelist in order to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Moses was a pioneer. Bezaleel was a builder. David was a soldier and a king. Daniel was an administrator. Joseph was a manager. These all were anointed of the Holy Spirit to excel in their life assignment. May the seven-fold Spirit of the Lord come upon you today to make you a success in your life assignment.

If you want this anointing, then:
1) You must be sure that you are born again.
2) You must dedicate your entire life to God, to live for Him and His glory.
3) You must be willing to be used by God to be a blessing to humanity in whatever way He chooses.
4) You must be ready to be a witness for Jesus, using your calling/profession as a platform to win the lost to Christ.
5) You must ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit. As you ask in faith, the sevenfold Spirit of the Lord will come upon you.

_*If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? (Luke 11:13).*_

*PRAYER POINTS*
■ Give thanks to God for the word of His grace.
■ Dedicate yourself wholly to God, and ask Him to take total control of your life.
■ Ask the Holy Spirit to come upon you in the fullness of His grace and power for success and significance in your life assignment.
■ Pray for a massive outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon Russia and all the countries of former USSR.
■ Pray for your pastor.

*HOW TO PREACH THE GOSPEL EFFECTIVELY*

_*Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven ( Peter 1:12)*_

The preaching of the gospel of Christ is the joyful responsibility of every believer in Christ. When you preach the gospel to other people,
1. You are obeying Christ our Lord who commanded us to "go ye unto all the world and preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15).
2. You are rescuing lost souls, pulling them out of the fire of hell (Jude 1:23).
3. You are bringing many into the glory of heaven (Heb. 2:10).
4. You are giving Jesus the fruits of His travail (Isaiah 53:11).
5. You are bringing forth fruits in the kingdom of our God, fulfilling your destiny in Christ (John 15:16).
6. You are making this world a better place (Rev. 11:15).
7. You are earning for yourself glorious rewards before our God (II John 1:8).

What a blessing to joyfully preach the gospel of Christ and win souls for Him!
To be effective in preaching the gospel however, certain things are critical.

First, *you should have been born again yourself.* You can effectively preach to others to be saved only after you have been saved. You can only give what you have. You must be born again (John 3:3-7).

Secondly, *you should be filled with the Holy Spirit, and preach in the power of the Holy Spirit.* It is the Holy Spirit that will make the word of God come alive and pierce the hearts of your hearers like a two edged sword, leading them to be saved.

Our text today talks of those that have preached the gospel with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven (I Pet. 1:12). This is why you should truly pray and rely totally on the Holy Spirit in the preaching of the gospel of Christ.

Thirdly, *you should use the word of God to admonish your hearers to receive Christ.* Tell them how Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, how He was buried, and how He rose again the third day according to the scriptures and that He is alive today to save all who look up to Him for the salvation of their souls (I Cor. 15:3-5, Act 2:21).

Fourthly, *share the testimonies of your own salvation.* Without bragging, let your hearers know how you were wallowing in sin, how you heard the gospel of Christ, how you responded to His offer of mercy and how you were gloriously saved (Titus 3:3). You are a witness for Christ. A witness tells of what he/she has heard or seen or experienced (I John 1:1-3).

Finally, *make sure you urge your hearers to receive Christ NOW, without delay.* Let them know this is the day of salvation, and tomorrow may be too late (II Cor. 6:2, Prov. 27:1). Lead your hearers to invite Christ into their hearts. Then, pray with them for their salvation.

Go forth precious child of God, and declare the gospel of Christ to the world. The word of the gospel is a living seed in your mouth. It will produce results as you faithfully preach it (Col. 1:5-6). It is the power of God to save those who believe (Rom. 1:16). Go on and labour for the Master. Your reward is very sure.

_*And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be (Rev. 22:12).*_

■ Give thanks to God for the salvation of your soul.
■ Give thanks to God for the power of the gospel to save souls.
■ Ask for a fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit to preach the gospel of Christ effectively.
■ Ask the Lord to lead you to souls that shall be save today and to use you to bring them home to Christ.
