Its technology simulates a crisis breaking and unfolding over digital and social media channels, and a live team of role-players mimic the public response to the crisis. Polpeo is a crisis simulation platform co-founded by social media management agency The Social Element and PR specialist Kate Hartley. It was created in response to the speed at which a crisis breaks and spreads online, and the need for companies to practise their crisis management skills in this new media landscape. Experiencing a simulated crisis lets organisations practise their responses and road test their crisis plans in a secure, private environment.
