At the IAG Expo, our Group CEO, Rob Dowling, joined a panel moderated by Marie Antonette Quiogue on the rise of Special Class Business Process Outsourcing (SCBPO) and the country's potential to become a regional, and even global, hub.
Speaking on the panel, Rob said the Philippines has won the argument on cost for some time, and the opportunity now is to win it on capability. As AI absorbs repetitive work, the value shifts to judgement, empathy and trust, and success should be measured in better jobs and more Filipinos in senior roles. Regulation underpins all of it: "operators don't just survive by licensing technology. They need capability and trusted partners."
Thanks to Marie for chairing, to our fellow panelists, and to SiGMA World for spotlighting a topic that will shape the sector for years to come.
