Our Lee High Road site has become an instant landmark since the installation of our 24 metre high Raptor luffing crane. With a 32 metre jib, this crane will enable the site team to efficiently distribute materials safely around the site during the construction phase. Once completed, this project will consist of 17 residential apartments with 2 commercial units to serve and improve the amenities of the local area. Our CMT trget completion date is March 2023.

Construction now underway for new mixed use development in Lewisham

CMT Construction is named as the principal contractor for Lee High Road Development by KNT Development. The mixed use project includes demolition of the existing car park and construction of new residential and commercial units along with refining the interface with the River Quaggy.

The development, situated within the London Borough of Lewisham, will be built to a high standard and include 17 new residential space ranging from one to three bedroom and two commercial spaces with sizeable basement storage. The four storey mixed use development will provide flexible ground floor commercial spaces with basement storage. Two car parking for wheelchair users is located at the rear of the site while generous residential entrance highlighted at the ground level.

The project benefits from the close proximity to the amenities found on Lee High Road and will contribute to regeneration of the area.

The demolition of the existing garage has now started and the scheme is scheduled for completion on the first quarter of 2022.

CMT Construction appointed to bring history and heritage to life with landmark Phoenix Yard development

CMT Construction is appointed to deliver an office & residential conversion and extension at Phoenix Yard in Kings Cross, London.

Situated at the heart of the city, Phoenix Yard is a group of former brewery buildings set around a courtyard in Kings Cross Road. The major new development will see the existing buildings sensitively transformed to offices and residential spaces while maintaining the building’s historic character. The regenerate works will include the careful addition of two additional floors, adding a new dimension which will nod to the building’s heritage while adding a contemporary touch and contributing to the character of the area.

The project will see CMT Construction produce offices with a variety of workspaces, private rooms and break out spaces spanning over 20,000 sq ft and 4 apartments forming the premium accommodation scheme plus a generous retail space on the ground floor.

Project Quantity Surveyor Position.

£32.000 salary per year

We are looking for an experienced quantity surveyor to join a growing team working on new build residential projects in and around London.
Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor will include but not limited to:
-Cost control and management of design on D&B project
-Preparation of Internal Costs / Value reports on a monthly basis.
-Preparation and Management of Subcontractors, suppliers and material Procurement Schedules
-Responsibility for agreeing on monthly valuations with Client
-Budget control / materials management
-Ability to negotiate with contractors, suppliers with a view to agreeing on final accounts
-Procurement of sub-contractors and suppliers
-Requirements of the Quantity Surveyor
-Experience in pricing projects
-Experience working towards tight deadlines and budgets, dealing with interim payments.
-Excellent client relationship skills
Desirable Skills/Attributes of the Quantity Surveyor ;
-Excellent IT skills, in particular, advanced Excel or other QS software with a keen interest to develop their skills further.
-Good communicator and excellent analytical capabilities
-Willingness to show initiative and drive in addition to being a team player
-Well-presented and professional with a flexible approach to work.
