Jewellery has never been merely ornamental.

Remarkable Qing Dynasty Sinkiang Coins.🏔️
While Qing Dynasty Sinkiang ration silver 5 mace coins are fairly collectible and popular, they are usually in less desirable condition, partially because of less refined minting equipment and/or techniques, but also because Sinkiang was geographically secluded from the rest of China, resulting in currency within the area being heavily circulated.

At Spink’s CSS128 sale, there are at least 3 highlight-worthy types, with grades of PCGS AU58 and AU50 respectively, while the third, graded PCGS VF35, is an exceptionally rare type with an acorn at the centre of the reverse. Advanced collectors of Sinkiang coinage, take note!

A Contemporary Rare Date Error Coin.
The Hong Kong 1964H 5 cents is a well-known rarity among the local Elizabeth II issues as they were never released for general circulation, thus they are often missing in collections of Hong Kong / Commonwealth coins. However, even seasoned collectors may not be prepared for this unicorn – a 1964H 5 cent ERROR coin with 180° Rotated Dies in Mint State condition! Safe to say this lot has achieved the holy trinity of being an unreleased date type, an error coin and in top notch condition choice.
