: How do I tailor my message to my audience?

If you’re ever in doubt about how someone wants you to communicate with them - ask them!

If you’re wanting to deliver messages to your team, who all have different preferences, do the groundwork of finding out their style, and then include a little bit of everyone’s preference in the message - easy!

“We’ve got a leader who lacks presence.”
Do we… or do we have a bias problem?

I am OOO for Sabbatical (YAYAYAY ☀️😎✈️🌍) and so for the next 6 weeks I’m going to be posting clips from our various Tama Talks sessions!

Such an important moment from our upcoming podcast with special guest Sam Shepherd — unpacking how “lack of presence” is often just unconscious bias (hello, introvert/extrovert stereotypes 👀).

This one’s a biggie. More coming soon.

What if participation isn’t the goal… learning is?

I am OOO for Sabbatical (YAYAYAY ☀️😎✈️🌍) and so for the next 6 weeks I’m going to be posting clips from our various Tama Talks sessions!

In this clip, Sam shares how she ran a workshop for introverts with zero required participation — no performative unmuting, no pressure. And guess what? Engagement went up when people could use chat and interactive tools instead.

I LOVE the reminder that all you are doing is making people ‘perform learning’, rather than just actually learn!

Such a refreshing rethink of how we design learning. More to come!

If you want people engaged, you’ve got to disrupt the autopilot.

I am OOO for Sabbatical (YAYAYAY ☀️😎✈️🌍) and so for the next 6 weeks I’m going to be posting clips from our various Tama Talks sessions!

Another little gem from our upcoming Tama Talks podcast episode on presenting, this time about the age old question: how do I keep people engaged???

Whether you’re in the room or on Zoom, it’s about breaking the monotony — hands up, drop a poll, ask the question… and then be brave enough to sit in the silence while people respond. (They are responding, promise.)

“Let’s start with a fun fact about yourself…”

I am OOO for Sabbatical (YAYAYAY ☀️😎✈️🌍) and so for the next 6 weeks I’m going to be posting clips from our various Tama Talks sessions!

Our second clip from the fantastic session we did with the amazing Sam Sheppard is all about how we create psychological safety for ALL in a learning space, not just the extroverts!

The dreaded fun fact question…It’s the default opener in so many training sessions — but is it building connection… or quietly sending people into fight-or-flight?

In this clip, Sam challenges how we design learning and what actually creates psychological safety. Full episode with Sam Shepherd coming soon.

Nerves aren’t the enemy – they’re your body’s hype squad. 🦋

I am OOO for Sabbatical (YAYAYAY ☀️😎✈️🌍) and so for the next 6 weeks I’m going to be posting clips from our various Tama Talks sessions!

This is a little clip from our upcoming Tama Talks podcast episode all about presenting (more coming soon 👀).

In this video we talked about how to handle nerves!!

That flutter in your stomach? It’s not doom. It’s your brain saying, “Right then, let’s do this.” Try swapping “I’m so nervous” for “I’m excited” — even if you don’t quite believe it yet.

I am OOO for Sabbatical (YAYAYAY ☀️😎✈️🌍) and so for the next 6 weeks I’m going to be posting clips from our various Tama Talks sessions!

First up is from the session with the INCREDIBLE Sam Sheppard 💡who is an introvert expert extraordinaire and fantastic trainer. If you aren’t familiar with Sam, go check out her work, she is such an inspirations!

In this video we look at Introverts being overlooked in the workplace...

Introverts are “too quiet”… or are we just too biased?

Research shows introverts are less likely to get promotions or high-visibility opportunities — not because they’re underperforming, but because of how they’re perceived. And yes, “you need to speak up more” is still being used as performance feedback.

Such a powerful clip from our upcoming episode with Sam Shepherd. This conversation matters. More coming soon!
