Jane Smith Hats Jane Smith started making hats for theatre and film in 1968, and works in felt, straw, buckram, plastic and fabric in her London studio.

A leading figure in theatrical millinery, she makes uniform caps and hats, naval bicornes, chapeau bras, top hats and many more. Her work features widely in television, film and theatre. Her hats can be seen in the such films as The Duchess, The Iron Lady, Master and Commander, Bright Star, Sweeney Todd, Harry Potter, Jane Eyre, Great Expectations, The Invisible Woman, Pan and 47 Ronin. She is currently working on Guy Ritchie’s King Arthur.
