For more than 40 years, Smartstream has operated at the core of global finance. Its software powers the back end of over 80% of the world’s leading banks, supporting critical processes like reconciliation and post-trade operations where precision and reliability are essential.
Despite this leadership, the brand no longer reflected the reality of the business. Smartstream was trusted by the largest institutions but increasingly perceived as a legacy player, even as the company expanded into AI-driven automation and data intelligence.
Our challenge was not to erase the past, but to reinterpret it for the future.
We repositioned Smartstream from a traditional fintech provider into a modern data and AI business, reframing the narrative around intelligence, scale, and forward momentum.
The new identity reflects the precision and structure of its technology. A modular grid system creates a strong visual foundation, while data-inspired patterns and geometric compositions reference the complexity of financial systems and the movement of information through them.
Bold typography and a refined colour palette introduce clarity and confidence, positioning Smartstream as a contemporary data and AI partner for global finance.
