Going Dark goes Down Under 🇦🇺

The Last Ship – Brisbane

As the production’s Production Electricians, we worked alongside the Glasshouse Theatre LX team to get this show on stage.

We supplied the touring set electrics and integrated them into a new locally built set. We also connected the show’s touring RoboSpot system into the house network.

Equipment was supplied locally by Chameleon Touring Systems and followspots by Neg Earth.

A smooth collaboration on a brand-new stage, ensuring the show’s look and technical integrity were held to the highest standard.

And just like that… it’s time for Opera Holland Park again !🎭

Prep is in full swing at 4Wall — kit checked, control dialled in, and looms built and ready to roll. It’s that time of year where everything starts coming together behind the scenes.

We couldn’t do it without the support of our fantastic team 👏

Busy few days getting everything prepped for the upcoming tour of The Enormous Crocodile! 🐊

With the first stop at Theatre Royal Brighton next week, it’s been all hands on deck making sure everything is tour-ready — from careful prep to plenty of labelling to keep things running smoothly on the road.

Looking forward to seeing it all land in the venue and come together for the first performances!

⚓ The Last Ship – The Musical ⚓

Going Dark Ltd is proud to be supporting The Last Ship, a musical by Sting.

After prepping the production in LH2 Studios, we’ve successfully moved the show into the Royal Theatre Carré.

We’ve been proud to support the design team from Woodroffe Bassett:

Lighting Designer: Adam Bassett
Associate Lighting Designer: Alex Forey
Programmer: Stanley Olden

With support from production electricians Matt Dean and Marc Gough, production management by TGR Prods, and lighting supplied by Neg Earth Lights.

Next stop: Paris — we’re looking forward to moving this show into its next home over the coming weeks.

That’s a wrap on our final job of the year. 💡

We’ve just finished loading out The Last Ship from LH2. Huge thanks to the entire team for the long hours, focus, and graft that went into making it happen — absolute pleasure working alongside you all.

Until the new year, we’re going dark and taking some time to recharge. We’ll see this one again when it sails into Amsterdam. ⚓️✨
