People are the foundation of our business, so what better way to give back to our fantastic team than an away trip to the 5-star Celtic Manor Resort.

Across two days, we focused on our people strategy and plans for the next 12 months, alongside dedicated time to recharge and connect. The itinerary included archery, a pro-led golf session, padel and Pilates, followed by an overnight stay and shared dining experience.

A brilliant few days that reinforced everything we’ve built over the past five years at DARNA.

Our Head of Delivery, Pete Saich, has officially completed his first six months at DARNA!

Here’s what he had to say about his journey with us so far:

We made some brilliant connections at MIPIM and would love to reconnect with those we met, and meet some new faces to share ideas and talk about the work we’re doing at DARNA to create meaningful spaces for communities.

A few members of our team attended the first Employer and Stakeholder Skills Forum at Stanmore College last week. It was a really valuable opportunity to connect with educators and industry partners who all share the same focus on supporting young people into the construction and built environment sector.

Through our apprenticeship scheme and the DARNA Academy, we want to create clear and meaningful pathways for the next generation of professionals, helping students see what a career in the industry can look like and giving them the right support and guidance along the way. Building a strong partnership with Stanmore College will be a key part of this, with regular attendance at termly forums, industry talks for students and ongoing collaboration to ensure they are gaining real insight into the world of work, while we continue to develop our scheme for success.

Happy International Women’s Day to our colleagues, clients and friends.

We’ve been thinking about what this year’s theme, ‘Give to Gain’, means to us. Women remain significantly underrepresented within construction and the wider built environment, with recent figures showing that only around 10% of those starting construction apprenticeships are young women (Protrade, State of Construction Apprenticeships Report 2026), highlighting that representation is still far from equal.

Through our DARNA Academy, we’ve established a supportive and expert-led apprenticeship scheme designed to help young people, particularly women, thrive in an industry where they have historically been underrepresented. By investing in mentorship, leadership support and professional development, we’re creating clear pathways into the sector and strengthening the future talent pipeline.

We’re extremely proud to celebrate the women shaping the built environment and their contributions at every stage of their careers, recognising their profound impact on the places and communities we serve.

A great morning at the NLA Housing Conference yesterday, and such a pleasure to hear optimism and positivity in the room 👏

The key message was clear: progressing projects must remain a priority, and we should always return to the moral purpose that drives us all. London is full of talent, and collectively we have a duty to house the people who make our city work, helping them stay, grow, and thrive in places they can be proud to call home. This aligns closely with our work at DARNA, supporting partners to turn ambition into delivery and create places we can all be proud of.

Many thanks to the NLA for a thoughtful and well-rounded discussion on the challenges and opportunities in housing delivery across our city.
