On this significant occasion of his 56th Birthday, we celebrate the life, legacy, achievements, and global ministry of His Grace, Most Reverend Prof. Dr. Bishop Audie Florizal Cummings, an international church leader, educator, entrepreneur, consultant, author, military chaplain, and global ambassador.
Born on 16 June 1970 at Hackney Hospital, London, he is the son of Ms. Inez Jennifer Nevers and Deacon Aurrillo Selwyn Cummings, inheriting a rich legacy of Christian faith, public service, education, agriculture, leadership, and community development.
Through his maternal lineage, he honours the memory and contribution of Deacon Roy Stanley Nevers, JP, respected Agriculturist, Church Leader, and Community Servant of Green Hill, St. Ann, Jamaica, together with his wife Mrs. Christianna Nevers, faithful matriarch and pillar of family life.
Through his paternal lineage, he honours Deacon Zebedee Cummings, JP, School Teacher, Agriculturist, Church Leader, and Community Leader of Clarendon, Jamaica, whose commitment to education and Christian service helped shape future generations.
From these strong foundations emerged a leader whose life's work has spanned ministry, education, business development, consultancy, authorship, diplomacy, and international leadership.
As an accomplished entrepreneur, Bishop Cummings founded Audie's Professional Hair Studios (APHS), building the enterprise from a single rented room into a multi-award-winning four-site organisation employing numerous staff and serving thousands of customers. His entrepreneurial journey received support from The Prince's Youth Business Trust and recognition through direct engagement with His Majesty King Charles III during his tenure as HRH The Prince of Wales.
