We identified Boden’s key brand codes at the beginning of the project. Amongst their many rich and diverse codes the Breton stripe played a significant part in their product history. From this analysis we created a hand painted Breton stripe to be used across their communications. Watch this space for exciting print and packaging developments…
The print was designed by Kimmy’s super talented sister who is an incredible artist, print designer and trend forecaster in her own right. "It was a real pleasure to work with my sister. Very easy and she has the natural instinct to understand exactly what we wanted for the brand to work with the overall toolkit.” Love Kimmy.

The combination of bright green and pale pink is a well loved combination of Boden’s founder, Johnnie Boden. It is also a favourite of Kimmy’s and so this shared love of colour was a driving influence on the new colour palette that supports the new identity. The logo has the flexibility over time to change its colour to reflect the colour and print palettes of each season. Keeping the experience fresh and exciting for all their customers.

Brand Spirit, Codes and Identity Design by for
All change for Boden with our new brand identity. Based on the original logo on Boden’s first catalogues 30 years ago, the new logo has been refined and cleaned up to work well across multiple platforms both digitally and in print. The boldness of the logo allows for the brand to use it’s talent in imagery, colour and print inside, around and behind the logo while maintaining strong legibility. The logo indicates the brand’s desire to express a more modern, youthful, inclusive positioning while allowing them to be firmly routed in their rich heritage of a happy British chic lifestyle brand.
