Algarve Retreat 2026 highlights, landscape edition. ✨

Still reminiscing over the space, the food, the slow sinking into how we all could be if we weren’t so worried and stressed and overwhelmed all the time.

Retreats remind me who I am without all of that. If you need to drop some of what you’re carrying, there is still time to join me and this September in North Devon.

Missing the mountains, but looking forward to the seaside 🌊

It is 2026 and I’m still hearing about people being injured by teachers, all in the name of “helping” them advance particular asanas.

If every time a teacher comes over to your mat you feel stressed, worried that they’ll catch you taking a break, or that they’ll try to get you to do more?

Maybe that’s something to look at.

Even if your only goal is to advance your physical skills in your movement practice, finding ease and grace in demanding shapes isn’t as possible if you’re in hyper-vigilance mode. Your brain needs a reasonable sense of safety for your muscles and fascia to lengthen, or to stay in a shape longer over time.

I hope you’re able to find spaces and people that help you feel supported in your practice, and safe enough to explore the options that are right for you each day.

It’s a yoga class, not a boot camp 🪖✌🏻

We slowed down time ⏳ in Portugal 🌱🦎
Algarve Retreat Highlights, portrait edition 💛

What an incredible feeling to get to watch a group of humans softly drop back into who they are without all the 2026-level stress of urban life.

In these settings you can return to the you who exists when all that pressure gets lifted off your shoulders. Even if that weight gets released for just a few days, I clock a noticeable change in how everyone on retreat connects, moves and engages with the world.

I wrote in my newsletter this month about how attending a retreat is a bit like being a kid on holiday again, but with all the autonomy of an adult. It’s a privilege for me to get to be the Trip Parent of sorts so that everyone else can just relax and enjoy. All the tabs get closed and there’s suddenly so much brain space freed up, it’s much easier to stay in each present moment a bit longer.

And so time starts to stretch back out, because you’re just right where you are, not being pulled across many times and places…

I’m so grateful to for bringing her revitalising treatments and sound bath, .kitchen for the delicious bounty of food and of course to the whole team for welcoming us into their home 🏡

Already can’t wait for the next one. If you missed out on this lovely experience, my retreat with to North Devon still has spots this September 9-13th. Join me to slow life back down a little 😌

So out of ALL the retreats out there… why join ours? Besides the fact that we’re awesome 💁‍♀️

(feat. bb noises and a magpie!)

Let’s be real, most retreats have the same structure: yoga in the morning, yoga in the evening, free time in between, maybe a workshop or two here and there… so why is ours different?

First of all, we won’t be pushing an agenda on you, or packing the itinerary. We want you to be able to be spontaneous, to see how you feel each day and just enjoy the time *your* way.

Also, we’re pals and enjoy each other’s company! While we hope the practice is educational and interesting, we want our retreat to feel like a friendly and flexible experience, so if you do feel like socialising a bit, know that it’s not going to be stiff or awkward. We love to lol.

If you’re ready to invest in some real you time with two pretty awesome hosts, you’re in good hands with us.

Why did we say ‘hello’ exactly the same way 😂

Devon Retreat, Sept. 2026: meet your hosts, part 1.
(feat. adorable baby noises)

Come hang with us in September, for 5 days of time to just be you. We’re two pals, we crack each other up and think yoga is pretty dang great. If you like this vibe, you’ll love our retreat.

No pressure, no performing, no to do list.

Enjoy time in nature, being fed (great food), exploring movement and rest, and remembering what it’s like to just be in a relaxed and friendly environment for a while.

Check our bios for the retreat page, or comment ‘I think I’m fun’ for the link sent straight to your DMs 💌

Big changes with the seasons means a new schedule update for you!

The biggest shift is that after three and a half years, I’m letting go of my weekly Friday evening classes

I really can’t think too much about as I type, or I’ll get emotional. It’s been such a special community and huge part of my teaching journey, and letting go of my weekly classes there is incredibly bittersweet.

You’ll still see me there monthly for our extended practice though! And I’ll be hosting rest-shops there as the year continues, no doubt. You’re not getting rid of me that easily 😉

Instead, on Friday evenings (and bright and early Thursday mornings), you’ll now find me at the brand new Walthamstow.

For those classes and all other new schedule updates, swipe through! And save this post for when you need a session with me, for easy access ☺️

See you on the mat, pals 💛

Taking a stretch of time when you aren’t getting pinged, when there are no to-dos apart from your practice, when you aren’t being pulled in five directions, is huge.

And really, really tough when we’re trained to always be jumping from one thing to the next.

But practice creates familiarity, and familiarity creates safety. The more we make this behaviour routine, the more our minds feel safe returning to it more automatically. Then the easier it gets to just stay with one task at a time, notice what’s on our minds, and avoid the trappings of our distraction economy.

I don’t know about you, but I find that way more useful, and advanced, than whether or not you can put your foot behind your head.

How do you find your practice popping up off the mat? Comment below, or shoot me a DM. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

We are expert time travellers. Are you living in the Caterpillar pose as it was 2 mins ago? Pushing for an ideal looking shape that doesn’t work for your body? Or assuming the relationship you’re in is with the same person you first met? Or maybe living in the fantasy version of a dynamic in your head, rather than the one that’s actually in front of you?

I don’t know about you, but I find that WAY more useful than just an hour of bendy burpees and lunges…

How has yoga impacted your life off the mat? Have you been able to integrate it more into your daily routine?
Let’s talk about it.

Pop your thoughts below, or shoot me a DM. I’d love to hear your experiences.

This is not a drill! You can now find me on a Sunday morning, for an additional dynamic flow class at 11am.

Come have a wiggle to shake off the weekend to leave feeling a bit more connected, recovered from any heaviness in the week (whether existential or physical — I know how heavy some of you lift, Misfitters!) and ready for Monday.

Plus if we’re really good, the big bosses might just let us do another session afterwards, and it may or may not be yin 😌 so see you Sunday!

Sunday Scaries, who? You now have TWO chances to catch me on a Sunday evening 😍

From this Sunday, you can join me at 4:30pm for a gentle flow to restore session. This class is about movement and awareness, not achievement or athleticism. Have a wiggle and get out any energy you want to let go of for the week ahead, before we settle into some restful shapes and really relax.

And don’t worry, the 6pm candlelit yin class after is here to stay. You can even stick around for both for an extra luxurious Sunday.

But now you won’t miss out if you need to be home earlier to sort your life out before Monday morning.

Perfect for those who need a bit more movement before their bodies can chill, and excellent for resetting your body and mind to wrap up the week.

So see you Sunday? Head to LIM’s pages or my site for the link to book.
