Even more chances to catch me in E17 these days, pals!

Join me every Friday and Sunday arvo.sauna in their brand new studio space. The class capacity is small, the space is intimate, my classes are gentle and you can tack on a sauna session to your class booking for as low as a tenner 😍 the dream!

Come play:
- Fridays, 7:30am - gentle morning flow (think of this as choosing a matcha over a double espresso)
- Sundays, 2:30pm - restorative yoga (no flow, just rest for your body and mind)

Would love to have you there 💛

Autumn rest-shops are live, would love to have you there to give yourself that proper rest as we approach the longer nights.

With the back-to-school energy swiftly approaching, there’s always that unspoken push to pick up speed and be productive before the end of the year break.

And I’m here to help you say f #*k that ✌🏻

There is an *unreasonable* amount of activity and productivity expected of you. If we keep practicing a pace that our systems weren’t designed for, we will keep burning out.

Book your rest, it needs practice or we get rusty:
Sat. 12th LIM Studio (book through me!) | 4-6pm
Sat. 19th arvo.sauna (book through them!) | 3-5:30pm*
Links are in the usual places, or you can head to arvo’s page to book the 19th there!

*this session will be a longer format, and will include a 55-minute sauna and plunge session 😍

Sophia here! It’s been a couple years since I introduced myself, and even longer since I had some sweet snaps taken of me.

So, in case you’re new here:

I’m Sophia 👋🏻 a yoga and creative movement facilitator based in NE London. I grew up in California, but moved here about a decade ago.

My work is all about connection: giving people space to connect to themselves, their minds and bodies, as well as to reality as it is.

In my sessions, I will always prioritise your agency and individuality. So that you know you can do something different to everyone else if you need to. The bravest call to make, in my opinion.

And as a recovering perfectionist, an eldest daughter, a former high-achieving theatre kid, I believe deeply in the power of play. You can try things, get it wrong sometimes, and experiment without holding on too tightly to the outcome. Hopefully with some laughs along the way.

I also think rest practices (restorative yoga, yin, yoga nidra, meditation) are the perfect example of tapas (discipline, friction) within a culture that rewards exhaustion. I will continue to advocate for rest as a political statement, a practice towards liberation and one of the most advanced practices currently available on a yoga mat.

Because the mat shouldn’t be a place to perform or to run away from yourself and your life, it should be a space to tap more fully into all of you. The good, the bad and the silly.

All of this is also rooted in yoga philosophy, which I find endlessly fascinating. If I could be paid to go to school forever and just learn about different topics I find interesting, I would.

So that’s a bit of me 💛 come hang out sometime!

Thanks as always to by Camille ♡ photo + video for the stunning snaps 📸

‘When things calm down a bit’
‘When we’ve made it through busy season’
‘When the kids are a bit older’
‘When I get that promotion’
‘When we finish those house jobs’
‘When I can put away enough savings’
‘When summer hols are over’

…except.

The goal posts will keep moving. There will always be a reason to say ‘maybe next time’.

If you’re ready for ‘someday’ to be ‘this year’, claim your spot for September.

The link is where it always is, payment plans are always available.

Let’s make it happen, this year, together.

Why did we say ‘hello’ exactly the same way 😂

Devon Retreat, Sept. 2026: meet your hosts, part 1.
(feat. adorable baby noises)

Come hang with us in September, for 5 days of time to just be you. We’re two pals, we crack each other up and think yoga is pretty dang great. If you like this vibe, you’ll love our retreat.

No pressure, no performing, no to do list.

Enjoy time in nature, being fed (great food), exploring movement and rest, and remembering what it’s like to just be in a relaxed and friendly environment for a while.

Check our bios for the retreat page, or comment ‘I think I’m fun’ for the link sent straight to your DMs 💌

Big changes with the seasons means a new schedule update for you!

The biggest shift is that after three and a half years, I’m letting go of my weekly Friday evening classes

I really can’t think too much about as I type, or I’ll get emotional. It’s been such a special community and huge part of my teaching journey, and letting go of my weekly classes there is incredibly bittersweet.

You’ll still see me there monthly for our extended practice though! And I’ll be hosting rest-shops there as the year continues, no doubt. You’re not getting rid of me that easily 😉

Instead, on Friday evenings (and bright and early Thursday mornings), you’ll now find me at the brand new Walthamstow.

For those classes and all other new schedule updates, swipe through! And save this post for when you need a session with me, for easy access ☺️

See you on the mat, pals 💛

Taking a stretch of time when you aren’t getting pinged, when there are no to-dos apart from your practice, when you aren’t being pulled in five directions, is huge.

And really, really tough when we’re trained to always be jumping from one thing to the next.

But practice creates familiarity, and familiarity creates safety. The more we make this behaviour routine, the more our minds feel safe returning to it more automatically. Then the easier it gets to just stay with one task at a time, notice what’s on our minds, and avoid the trappings of our distraction economy.

I don’t know about you, but I find that way more useful, and advanced, than whether or not you can put your foot behind your head.

How do you find your practice popping up off the mat? Comment below, or shoot me a DM. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
