In May 2025, one client came to me who was really struggling with sales.
He was making around £3,000 per month, doing dropshipping from Amazon. But as many of you know, Amazon dropshipping comes with a lot of issues — fake tracking updates, high defect rates, and wrong tracking numbers. These problems can seriously damage your eBay account.
After reviewing his store, I decided to close all the listings sourced from Amazon. We completely shifted his model and started listing products from AliExpress instead.
Why AliExpress?
Because AliExpress provides valid tracking numbers that are accepted by eBay. This means:
No fake tracking issues
No defect rate problems due to incorrect tracking
Much safer account health
In cases where customers claimed they didn’t receive their order, we were able to handle it confidently. The AliExpress tracking clearly showed delivery confirmation to the customer’s address, and we successfully won those cases.
And the most important part — profitability.
AliExpress often provides free shipping, which significantly increases margins. In many cases, profit margins can go above 50% easily.
Sometimes the issue isn’t sales — it’s the supplier strategy.
If you’re struggling with tracking issues or low margins, it might be time to rethink your sourcing model.
