Frida Style Icon by me, Charlie Collins! Having a hard time believing this is real but here she is...

I made this book with the trust of and the vision and belief of one very special human, .

, an artist I have admired for a very long time, brought my words to life and we worked hand in hand with the estate to publish it.

As I prepare to reopen my one-to-one wardrobe appointments and refresh my shop with new treasures, I wanted to say a little hello to all of you and introduce myself and what I do properly to any newcomers.

I’m Charlie Collins, a wardrobe consultant and stylist, specialising in curating magical wardrobes, filled with beautiful pre-owned pieces, vintage finds and one-of-a-kind treasures.

I have worked passionately for leading brands such as Vestiaire Collective, Smart Works Charity and William Vintage, spending over a decade of my life working at the forefront of the sustainable fashion movement.

Creative Wardrobe was born from my passion to help women find more joy and functionality within their wardrobes, whilst helping my clients to cultivate their own sustainable practices.

My personal appointments encompass all I have learned along the way, weaving together a number of unique practices that help women to unlock their own creativity. An appointment with me is guaranteed to leave you and your wardrobe feeling refreshed, magically charged and ready to shine.

I love to run feel good events, bringing together the best in pre-owned pieces, talented artisans and wonderful people like you! I’ve partnered with creative brands from and to and , helping to inspire their audiences with the Creative Wardrobe philosophy.

An oldie but a goodie with this vintage silk bed shirt and 70s skirt. Had sourced both with much excitement for one of my Treasure Hunt sales (more coming soon I promise!) only to find I couldn't let them go. The excitement for me always comes in the frenzied contrasts of pattern and colour 🌈 ☀️

A snap taken from one of my all time favourite days, the Creative Wardrobe pop up which celebrated our launch. A day that was filled with so much colour, creativity and happiness and that was full of brilliant independent brands, founded by women.

This year has been extraordinary and bizarre. Whether it has been utterly heartbreaking for you, slow, sticky and frustrating, full of fear and financial woe, or perhaps a year that's changed you forever, possibly even for the good - each of us will have experienced it in a completely unique way.

My wish for 2021 is that we can all be together again in person, without distance and masks and fingers crossed, wearing our finest vintage and rented pieces every step of the way!

A huge heartfelt thank you to every one of you who has supported Creative Wardrobe in 2020. I'll see you on the other side with my newest treasure and I wish you a brighter and happier 2021 💛💫🌟

Today's creative gift idea comes from one of my wonderful friends in the vintage world, the brilliant 👘

If any of you attended the Creative Wardrobe pop up last October, you would have seen her incredible kimonos transform my yellow bedroom into a Japanese paradise in Islington.

Furuki Yo-Kimono Vintage (meaning good old things) is run by London based vintage kimono dealer Sonoe Sugawara. Sonoe has been collecting vintage kimono for years and has become a trusted source for Western kimono lovers including designers of some of the world’s leading fashion brands and film costume designers.... and me, a hard core obsessive since meeting Sonoe! I couldn't believe my luck when I became the owner of the most beautiful 1920's kimono below last October. Swipe to see!

The main collection of kimonos are from the 1920-30s pre-war period known in Japan as the Taisho period and the Japanese Art Deco period when Western modernism mingled with Japanese tradition.

Sonoe's store can be found in Dalston at The Factory on Shacklewell Lane and you can surprise your loved one with a giftcard for a private appointment to receive a Kimono.

Say hello to one of my favourite independent stores in London

Founded by Sierra Leonean-American, Isatu Funna, this memorable store sources wonderfully crafted pieces inspired by Isatu's global travels and reimagines traditional West African textiles for a range of wares from cushions, to baskets and even wallpaper.

can be found on Islington's Cross Street and if you're anything like me, you'll find yourself floating inside like a magpie, attracted by the colourful wares peeping through the window.

For today's Christmas gift idea, I've picked the vibrant Mint Green Dakar Chair, crafted from recycled plastic and sure to add zing to any room.
