A number of flood alerts are in place across Derbyshire due to the heavy rain⚠️☔

Recent prolonged warm weather has left the ground very dry, meaning heavy rainfall is less likely to be absorbed and more likely to run off the surface. This can increase the risk of localised flash flooding.

Please take extra care when travelling, plan your journeys accordingly and stay alert to changing conditions.

⚠️ Heavy rain and thunderstorms across

The met office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms today.

Most areas are unlikely to be affected, but some places could see heavy downpours.

We are monitoring the situation closely with the Environment Agency and Severn Trent Water. Our highways and flood response teams are ready to respond if needed.

A little supplier visit today! ☕ Swadlincote Electrical and Solar Supplies

My installer popped into Swadlincote Electrical Supplies to pick up some bits for Mars.

Always super helpful, friendly and nothing is too much trouble — and my guy even gets a coffee to take away with him 😂☕ Clearly that’s why he likes coming here!

It’s the little things that make a difference when you’re running around between jobs.

Every CCTV install is different

Sometimes the layout of a property means we can’t completely conceal all the cabling.

There is another option! A cherry picker can be added to the installation, allowing us to run cables higher up and along the apex for a more concealed finish.

It does add to the cost, so we give our customers the choice rather than automatically including it.

Every property is different – there’s usually more than one way! 😊

📍 Colliery Smokehouse, Linton! 🔥

I popped over yesterday to a job we’re currently working on at this amazing place and genuinely thought… how did I not know this was here?! 😍

What a hidden gem! They’re doing thousands of covers every week, and when you see the place, you can understand why. The setting is fantastic, includes Hoseasons lodges, lake, kids areas, massive outdoor screen... the venue looks brilliant and there’s a serious amount going on behind the scenes.

We are currently working on their EPOS system, WiFi and networking – making sure the tech behind the operation can keep up with a very busy venue!

Definitely one to put on the “must visit” list… although next time I’m going back when I’m not working so I can properly investigate the food. 😂🔥

Love finding places like this not far from our doorstep!
