A very well-deserved congratulations to Sam Jinks, who has officially been promoted to Senior Consultant 👏

Sam joined Vallum just over three years ago, and a lot has happened since.

For a long time, he was the only person here working within the Data Centre market. He helped build that side of the business from the ground up, opening new accounts, building relationships with new clients and finding ways to grow the ones he was already working with.

As the market grew, so did the team around it, and Sam has remained a huge part of what we’re building in Data Centres today.

This year in particular has been a brilliant one. He’s barely missed an incentive, Breakfast Club, Directors’ Lunch and, most recently, a few days in Barcelona with the team.

But beyond all of that, Sam has become a genuinely important part of Vallum. He’s worked incredibly hard for this next step, and we’re very happy to see him get it.

Last week, three of our team spent two days at GRID in London, catching up with familiar faces, meeting new ones and hearing first-hand what’s occupying the industry right now.

The scale of what needs to happen across the grid over the coming years is enormous. New infrastructure, major upgrades, growing demand and an equally significant challenge around the people needed to make it all happen.

That made for some very interesting conversations.

Great to see so many of the people we work with in one place and to meet plenty we haven’t worked with yet.

Last Friday, our Back Office and Major Accounts teams headed to The Ivy Asia for a well-deserved afternoon out… which may or may not have carried on at Madison Rooftop for after-drinks 🥂



This was a chance to switch off for a few hours, eat some very good food and celebrate the people who keep so much moving across Vallum every single day.



A lot happens behind the scenes to keep a business like ours running, and this lot are right at the heart of it 🩵

Vallum Barcelona Weekender ’26! ☀️

Last weekend, our H1 incentive qualifiers headed to Barcelona for three days of sunshine, celebrations and a very well-earned break by the Med.

Three days. Seven qualifiers. One unforgettable weekend.

From dinner at LomoAlto and a night at Shôko to a day spent soaking up the sun at Purobeach, we made sure the itinerary matched the achievement.

A huge congratulations to everyone who earned their place. Barcelona was our way of celebrating the energy, ambition and hard work they brought throughout the first half of the year and it certainly didn’t disappoint.
Next up: our company-wide end-of-year trip. There’s still time to earn your place… 👀

Following his big entrance the other day, we sat down with our new Sales Director, Craig Webster, to get to know him a little better.

With 21 years in recruitment, including the last seven client-side, what brought him back to agency? Why Vallum? And what does he want to bring to the team?

We also asked for his advice for anyone starting out in recruitment and which incentive he’s most looking forward to.

That last question may have resulted in him sharing a little more about an upcoming trip we have planned. We’ll leave it to Craig to explain… 👀

The signing is official and this one’s a big deal ✍️

Craig Webster joins Vallum Associates as our new Sales Director.

21 years in recruitment. 14 agency-side. 7 client-side. And a return he didn’t think he’d make.

“I never thought I’d come back to agency side of recruitment if I’m honest.”

It was going to take somewhere special to change his mind. So having Craig choose Vallum means a lot.

He’s been the recruitment partner and the person choosing one. He knows what clients need from us, what earns their trust and what makes them come back. That’s a perspective we’re excited to bring into our team and a big part of why this appointment is so big!

Breakfast Club looked a little different this month… mainly because there wasn’t much breakfast involved 🥩🍝

With Isaac joining us from the US team, we pushed our monthly celebration to lunchtime and swapped the full English for steaks and pasta at Cecconi’s in the city.

A huge congratulations to everyone who qualified this month and thank you for all your hard work
