HC Fire has designed, installed, commissioned and tested a new L1 system, running an Advanced panel with Hochiki protocol.

Due to the building characteristics, standard FP was a suitable cable choice and the wiring complies with BS 5839-1 and BS 7671. The install was a mix of surface conduit with metal saddles and galvanised girder clips with metal ties, so every cable is fixed safely and the system integrity is protected in an emergency.

The installation took 4 days to complete and is ready for a soak test. We also had to release one access control door when the fire alarm is activated.

We’ll be doing the maintenance and servicing there for the foreseeable.

🔥 Completed at BSL GAS | Design, install and commission

Advanced panel with Hochiki protocol. L1 category system with high level void detection and high level loading bay.

System fully installed, labelled, commissioned and tested, all within 4 days and ready for a soak test. This project is under 50 points but we always allow time for a soak test to ensure full integrity within the system before handing it over.

All paperwork and certificates to be handed over in ten days.

Full fire alarm install at Kaya Barbers Kaya Barbers in Rochester, Kent. Part 1 of 2.

Barber shop and residential flat, one property, one system designed to two categories. Full LD1 detection coverage across the residential above, L2 addressable detection across the commercial ground floor, all run on Hochiki protocol.

Surface installed in plastic conduit with metal fixings, spaced to comply with BS 5839 Part 1 and BS 7671 wiring regs.

First and second fix complete in two days and the full cable test passed. The system is ready for commissioning.

Part two coming soon, covering the zone chart, commissioning and testing.

New install at Kaya Barbers, Rochester | Part 1 of 2

Full fire alarm across the barber shop and the flat above. LD1 in the residential, L2 on the shop floor, all on an Advanced panel with Hochiki protocol.
First and second fix done in two days, cable test passed and ready for commissioning.

A tricky one, completed properly.

Recent project completed by HC Fire Alarm Installations LTD - a full fire alarm panel and protocol upgrade carried out over half term.

The team upgraded an old MX Pro 4 panel and CTEC protocol to a new MX Pro 5 with Hochiki protocol, carefully planning around high-level access and keeping the building fully covered throughout.

Another project completed in Central London. ✅

We were brought in to finish, commission and fully test an emergency communications system as part of a Category A office fit out.

Our scope included:

• Completing the installation
• Identifying and organising system loops
• Finishing terminations
• Dividing an oversized loop
• Installing an additional external outstation
• Carrying out a full system test and commissioning process

From first fix through to final testing, we ensure every system is installed correctly, fully operational and ready for handover.
