Trelawney visited the Uptick office this week and it was so great catching up with them. They have been live on Uptick for just two months, but their impact and progress already speak volumes. Most fires start in an unoccupied buildings. Without an annual monitoring connection, this building and contents could have been lost to the fire.

The large investment in the fire alarm is to protect life. A small annual cost would protect the building and business.

Fire crews are called to an automatic fire alarm at the museum's store room on Charles Street.

A company operating a Hotel in Penzance has been ordered to pay a total of £16,590 in fines and costs after their premises failed to meet fire safety regulations.

Install Engineer required

Due to growth Trelawney Fire & Security are looking for qualified Installation engineers. We are based in Cornwall and most of our work is Cornwall based.
Duties:
- Install, inspect, and maintain fire & security systems in accordance with applicable codes
and regulations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate completion of projects
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fire & or security systems
- Call outs to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with fire & security systems, Out of hours call out rota.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of fire & or security systems
- Some proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Experience working with hand tools and power tools
- Familiarity with building codes and regulations related to fire & security systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients
Note: Previous experience as a Fire or Security Engineer or in a similar role is preferred. Training will be provided for candidates who demonstrate the necessary skills and aptitude.
