Sadly my husband Gareth lost his battle with cancer on the 23rd of December. We have been overwhelmed by the support of our family and close friends at this difficult time. For those who wish to celebrate his life with us the funeral will take place on the 17th January at 11.30am at St Marys Church, Walton on the Wolds, followed by a wake at Walton village Hall. ❤️💔🤍

Solace in Nature -
I have been very quiet on social media over the last few months as I am facing many challenges with my families health and something had to give. I have still been working away in the background making peoples gardens beautiful. I thought I’d share this stunning picture of autumn in all its glory. Nature is helping me get through these challenging times and the seasons remind me that nothing is permanent and these worrying times to will pass.

I’m really pleased with how this planting is looking in its first year. The long borders at the front of the house are planted for wow factor through the summer months, the large border along the drive is planted to extend the season of interest into the winter with colourful stems of dogwoods and crab apples. The Acer glade was planted last autumn and is look fabulous, can’t wait to see the colours in the autumn. There is much more to do in this garden, next phase is bulb planting, the woodland garden and stumpery.

Impressive Delphiniums at 15 The Woodcroft. For reference our garden owner is 6’2”! Their open day has been and gone for us this year but I'm sure they'll be back next year.

Love my new Auricula theatre made by my very clever dad from up cycled pallets. Thanks so much
I have always wanted one, struggling to find Auriculas to go in it at the moment though. Everyone online seems to have sold out. Looking forward to filling it over the years. In the meantime it is adorned with a few Auriculas, dwarf bulbs and a Primula ‘Gold Lace’ one of the fist plants I bought myself as a little girl!

I love the handsomely proportioned Galanthus ‘Sam Arnott’ one of the biggest snowdrops, still elegant though and sweetly scented. They are bulking up nicely in my borders and the bees are having a feast!

Love these Cyclamen coum brightening a dull winters day, they sparkle like little jewels. Planted in a small border under a tree on my drive I keep them away from the more vigorous autumn flowering Cyclamen hederifolium.
