One of our amazing local young farmers has just completed the incredible challenge of running the entire length of the UK in memory of his dad. Farmers are known for their resilience, determination and never giving up, and this challenge is a perfect example of those qualities.

What an incredible achievement for such a meaningful cause. We’re sure your dad would be immensely proud, and so is your local community. Congratulations from everyone at Sherwood Farms – what an inspiration! ❤️🌾🏃

A young farmer has completed the mammoth distance between John O’Groats and Land’s End in 17 days to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.

William Sercombe pulled off the monumental feat for charity in memory of his dad, Charles Sercombe, an admired Leicestershire farmer and former NFU livestock board chair.

Hello everyone! 😁

First of all, we would like to apologise for our silence on Facebook over the past couple of months. We took over Scaman’s Eggs two months ago and have been working with Neil and Simone to ensure the transition has moved as smoothly as possible. We have been busy settling in, getting to know how everything works, and making sure we can continue to provide the service you expect.

We thought it was about time we introduced ourselves!

We’re the friendly voices you’ll hear when you call to place your egg orders, ask questions, or need a hand with anything. While many of you may have already spoken to us on the phone, we wanted to put some names and faces to the voices behind the office.

We are the office ladies…Polly, Emma and Poppy, and we are delighted to be part of the team. We have really enjoyed getting to know our customers so far and appreciate how welcoming and supportive everyone has been during the transition.

Thank you so much for your patience while we have been finding our feet😆 We are looking forward to sharing more updates here, keeping you informed, and continuing to provide the friendly service you’ve come to expect.
