Rock Band Basharan Support War Child UK by Sharing Free Live Set with HOT VOX RISING, a national live music fundraising campaign connected to War Child UK.
War Child UK supports children whose lives have been affected by war and conflict. The charity also has a long history with music. Since the 1990s, War Child projects have involved major artists including Paul McCartney, Oasis, Blur, Radiohead, Coldplay, Muse, Dave, Arctic Monkeys and many others.
HOT VOX RISING continues that connection between music and charity by inviting new and independent artists to record exclusive live performances, raise funds for War Child UK, and take part in a wider national campaign.
The project has already raised over £432,000 for War Child UK through gigs, showcases and live-streamed performances. It also gives the highest fundraisers the chance to be considered by a music industry panel, with opportunities connected to festivals, recording, studio time and wider industry support.
Basharan’s contribution is a free 30-minute live set, available to watch now through their fundraising page.
The band said:
“It was a great experience to be part of HOT VOX RISING. We hope people enjoy the live set first of all. If that also helps raise money for children affected by war, then it is an honour to be involved. It may not be the most direct or obvious way to support a charity, but music can reach people in a different way, and we’re proud to contribute.”
For Basharan, the campaign is a chance to represent Southend in a national project, support an important charity, and bring more attention to original music coming from the town.
The page is open for anyone who would like to watch, share, donate, claim one of the optional rewards, or pass it on to someone who may be interested.
