To all my customers and friends of Aspect,

Just a little update on my cancer treatment journey.

I have now completed 4 rounds of chemotherapy, with 4 more still to go. I had a CT scan last Sunday and received the results today.

It wasn’t quite the outcome I had been hoping and praying for, BUT the important news is that the tumours have neither increased nor decreased. The disease is currently stable and being kept at bay — so I’m choosing to take that as a positive and something to build on.

This journey continues to remind me how precious life, health, family and friendship really are. Thank you to everyone who has sent kind messages, prayers and positive thoughts — they genuinely mean more than you know 🙏🏽

A Personal Health update

Dear friends, customers, and our extended community,

I wanted to take a moment to share an update on my health journey, as so many of you have shown such kindness, concern, and support and continue to enquire on my progress.

Late last year, I was diagnosed with cancer. It has been a life-changing and deeply challenging experience for both me and my family. What began as a sudden shock has now become a journey—one that is testing us, but also teaching us patience, strength, and acceptance.

As many of you know, this is the reason we made the very difficult decision to close Aspect Stationers after 22 years of serving the community. The shop was never just a business—it was part of our lives, filled with conversations, friendships, and shared moments over the years. Saying goodbye was incredibly emotional, but at that point, I had to place my health and treatment first.

Since my diagnosis, I have begun chemotherapy and am currently on a 21-day treatment cycle. Today, I am undergoing my third cycle. The treatment itself is not easy—there are good days and more difficult ones—but we are taking each day as it comes.

This journey has been both humbling and grounding. It has reminded me how little we truly control, and how important it is to place faith in something greater. I have found strength in prayer, in quiet reflection, and in trusting God and my Guru, His Holiness Mahant Swami, to guide me through whatever lies ahead.

As a family, we are staying strong together. There are moments of uncertainty, but also moments of deep gratitude—for time, for love, and for the support that surrounds us. The kindness, prayers, and heartfelt messages from so many of you have genuinely lifted our spirits and carried us through some very difficult days.

We are coping, one step at a time, with hope in our hearts and faith guiding us forward.

Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, for your continued support—not just as customers, but as a community that has shown us true care and compassion over the last few months.

There have been some rumours circulating that the owner of Aspect Stationers has gone bust. I would like to gently but clearly set the record straight.

The only thing that has “brought us to a stop” is my health, and that is the sole reason for our closure.

I kindly ask that people refrain from spreading unverified information. If you are unsure about something, please ask. Gossip and speculation may seem harmless, but it creates unnecessary negativity within the community and is personally hurtful.

I have been proud to serve this town for 22 years, and I will always be grateful for the support and kindness shown to me over that time.

On a positive note, I am delighted to share that my dear friend and fellow business owner, Carolyn Hill of All Wrapped Up, will be continuing the greeting card offering. She will be stocking the same beautiful cards that so many of you have enjoyed over the years. I have every confidence that Carolyn will carry this forward wonderfully, and I encourage you all to support her.

After much thought, and due to ongoing health issues, we have had to begin a phased reduction of stock at Aspect Stationers.

This is not a rushed decision, but a careful and considered one, and we are deeply grateful for the kindness, understanding, and support our customers continue to show us.

As part of this first phase, we are offering reductions on selected categories while continuing to stock our greeting cards and seasonal ranges.

Thank you for being part of our journey over the years — it truly means more to us than words can express. 💙
