We recently completed the construction of this private (temporary) car park in Eastbourne.

The car park is part of a larger ongoing project to expand a large manufacturing site.

A great little project to showcase our civil engineering capabilities.

💚 F A M I L Y & C O M M U N I T Y ❤️

We recently had a great afternoon attending the Lydd Town FC Youth presentation day…. And what a superb day it was too.

It was so good to see so many kids being celebrated by a great football club. The coaches spoke so passionately about their talented players and it was an opportunity for parents to show their appreciation for the amazing coaches and volunteers who provide so many opportunities for the kids to learn, be part of a team and an extraordinary footballing community.

Just look at the faces on our Indie, Ollie and Thea, picking up their awards. 😍

Our little business has come to enjoy helping this club in the background just doing what we can, when we can. So we were humbled this year to be awarded the Pete Etherton Memorial Cup for Services to the Community. It was a complete shock. We are so pleased to be able to help a little and the trophy will be proudly displayed in our office until it meets its new guardian next year.

Lydd Town FC Youth has so many awesome people involved, all contributing their time and money selflessly for the benefit of the kids. They are all heroes in our eyes and should be applauded. 👏 👏 👏

~ F O O T B A L L T O U R N A M E N T ~

A couple of weeks ago we had the pleasure of playing in the Invvu annual charity football tournament at The Maude in New Romney.

We had a fantastic afternoon in the sun playing against some great opposition.

The annual event is used to raise money for charity and this year the chosen charities were MS Society UK and Rising Sun Domestic Violence and Abuse Service.

The Addison Team played superbly, getting to the final with On Planning and narrowly missing out on the trophy. Nevertheless a great game and we will be back for another go next year!

~ M O V I N G O N ➡️ ➡️ ➡️

Mixed emotions with this post…..

Kieron has decided to move on to pastures new. He is starting his own business!! 👏 👏

Kieron joined our team 4 and a half years ago after completing a brickwork qualification at college. When we interviewed him, we knew he would move on to greater things.

After not many months working as a junior bricklayer, Kieron expressed interest in carpentry. We agreed to sponsor him through his carpentry qualification on an apprenticeship programme with East Kent College. He worked alongside our team developing the skills and knowledge a well rounded trades person needs. Kieron passed his apprenticeship with a distinction and much praise from the college.

Since then he has continued to grow and has become a great carpenter.

So it is with sadness that we see him go to start his own venture, but also with great proudness, knowing that we helped him to find a profession that he enjoys and frankly is ****** good at!

Hopefully it won’t be the last of Kieron on an Addison site. But for now we wish him well for the future. Go and smash it Kiki. 👊

We’ve loved working here over the last few weeks! Greg became part of the team asking loads of questions and having some banter with the guys. Smiles all round. 😊

👷‍♂️ Greg has spent the week making new friends with the workman from Addison Construction & Civils Ltd who have been working at Boldshaves Oast installing a new cess pit!

He’s been keeping a close eye on progress, and even borrowed one of their jumpers to really feel like part of the team!

~ T R E A T M E N T P L A N T ~

Last week we started work installing this sewerage treatment plant in Woodchurch.

The house has an existing treatment plant that has been failing for a number of years. We are now installing a new 35 person system, including some ancillary pumps and alarms.

The new system is being installed offline so that resident’s can continue to use bathrooms and kitchens, and we will have a short duration switch over to the new system, minimising disruption to the residents.

A great job so far by the team.

~ N E W B U I L D ~ E X T E R N A L S ~

This new build family home is really coming together nicely now.

We recently started the externals as we near the final stages of this awesome project.

Doffing its cap to Kent, with its square cut Kentish Ragstone sourced locally from Gallaghers and bringing a modern twist with the standing seam zinc oriel windows/dormers.

The new driveway, which is completely permeable, finished with Brett Alphablocks is looking fantastic……. Check out the mitred corners and sweeping curves…… precision!
