Lights, Camera, Action!

The reality of running an online business...

I spent two weeks preparing for an online masterclass.
Creating content. Refining content. Scheduling emails. Generating sign-ups.
Then finally getting ready to go live.

The whole time you’re fully activated because you’re so deep in it. It’s all you’re thinking about.

The day arrives.

Hair done. Makeup done. Planets aligned.

For the camera to stop working a couple of minutes in. 😤

In that moment, it feels like all the preparation comes crashing down.

My first thought?
What a waste of makeup. 🤣
Then my brain started racing...

How am I going to connect with people if they can only see a black screen?
What about everyone watching the replay?
They’re going to get a recording with a blank space where my face should be.

I won’t be able to reuse this recording.

Urgh.

Thankfully, my words were absolute GOLD 👑

I won’t lie, it knocked my confidence.
Worrying about how it looked.
Worrying about what people thought.

Convincing myself that “this always happens to me” (even though it really doesn’t).

And then came the worst part...
The overworked brain afterwards.

I came home wired and couldn’t sleep.
Replaying every moment.

Of course it did.

It’s not 9–5.

Which, for my brain, often means getting my best ideas in the middle of the night.
