A recent survey found that a fifth (19%) of UK employees do not know how their employer would support them if they had to take time off work due to ill-health or an injury.
It is crucial that employees, whether new or longstanding are aware of how they will be looked after should they become ill or injured. Sharing such information is not only beneficial to your team, but it will demonstrate compassion for individuals within the workplace and in a broader sense.
Make sure you allow visibility to sickness policies and that a copy is provided to every new starter.
