A little mystery for ! This bottle turned up on a Shorne Woods Country Park dig with a local school this week πŸ₯°. Bubbled glass, 15cm tall but no stamp or label? Found next to our 18th-19th century 🧱 site. Any ideas?

This unassuming sherd is actually a fragment from a vessel 😯. Found on our recent Whose Hoo Scheme WHOOP Heritage Festival dig πŸ‘πŸ». It indicates that in addition to pottery and salt making taking place there was also some settlement activity, using fineware imported from the continent? Or have our local industrialists been trading pots for salt?? A tiny sherd posing big questions this β€οΈπŸ‘πŸ»
