What actually gets shared at a Synergy table?

Ideas that are still half-formed. Challenges you have not said out loud to anyone yet. Goals you are not sure are realistic.

That is the point of the table. It is not a place to perform, and it is not a place to pitch. It is a place to put something real in front of people who run their own businesses and will tell you honestly what they think of it.

Our next Tunbridge Wells Business Group is at the Royal Wells Hotel, Tunbridge Wells, TN4 8BE, on Wednesday 21 October 2026 at 6:30pm.

Guests can attend commitment-free, and membership is not required.

A meeting of minds is a strange phrase until you have been in the room for one.

It is the moment two people who solve completely different problems realise they are working on the same one. It is an idea getting sharper because someone from another sector asked the obvious question that nobody in your own had thought to ask.

That is what a structured table does. It takes the guesswork out of meeting people and puts you in front of owners who understand your world but do not think exactly like you. Different trades, different pressures, same county.

And trust is built here in a way a screen cannot fake. You hear how someone talks about their business when they are not selling. You watch how they listen. You notice who follows through.

Our next Canterbury Business Group is at The Granville, Canterbury, CT4 7AL, on Tuesday 20 October 2026 at 10:30am.

Structured, pre-planned seating with guided discussion and table moves. No public speaking and no awkward mingling. Buffet-style dining is included.

Guests can attend commitment-free, and membership is not required.

Why do the same faces keep coming back to the Orida every month?

Because in a room built on relationships, consistency is the whole point.

Members who attend every month get something that is hard to buy: they are the people visitors are introduced to first. They are the names that come to mind when another member has a job to pass on. And over a year of monthly tables, they stop being faces and start being trusted.

That reliability works both ways. Visitors walking in for the first time are met by people who know the format, know the room and know who else should be in the conversation. Nobody has to work out who to approach. The introductions do that for you.

Our next Maidstone Business Group is at the Orida Hotel, Maidstone, ME14 5AA, on Monday 19 October 2026 at 6:30pm.

Structured, pre-planned seating with guided discussion and table moves. No public speaking and no awkward mingling. Buffet-style dining is included.

Guests can attend commitment-free, and membership is not required.

Networking that happens on the move.

Not every useful business conversation needs a table, a lanyard and a room. Some of the best ones happen shoulder to shoulder, walking a loop of the park with a coffee in hand.

That is what the Synergy NetWalk is. No presenting, no pitching, no wondering who to approach next. You walk, you talk, and the conversation finds its own level.

Networking tip: ask about the walk, not the work. "How far do you usually go?" is a far easier opener than a job title, and the business conversation arrives on its own.

Our next NetWalk is at Mote Park, Maidstone, ME15 7RN, on Friday 16 October at 10:30am.

Guests can attend commitment-free and there is no need to commit to membership.

The pricing conversation many business owners avoid? Knowing when to raise prices, protect margin, or change the offer entirely.

At our Ashford Business Group, bring one pricing or margin decision you're considering. Describe it to one owner outside your sector, then ask:

"What would you test first?"

Take in the perspective, but keep the decision yours.

Networking tip: ask for the first small test, not a complete solution. Practical questions often lead to more useful conversations.

Join us on Monday 12 October 2026 at 6:30pm at The New Fox Inn, Ashford, TN24 0QR.

Guests can attend commitment-free, and membership is not required. No public speaking, no awkward mingling: just structured conversations, a relaxed setting and genuine connections.

Next Wednesday, Linda Cloke hosts another Channel Radio show, and the guest list is a good one.

Joining her in the studio:

• Adam Mortimer, KCC Trading Standards
• Connor Whitehead, Bulldog Electrics
• Debra Denne, Utility Warehouse

Three very different corners of Kent business, and one shared thread is that they are all members of Synergy Networking Events.

Trading Standards, an electrical contractor and a utility supplier all sit at the sharp end of the same questions owners ask themselves. What do I need to know that I don't yet? Who can I trust to be straight with me? What changes are coming that I haven't planned for?

That is the value of a conversation like this one. It is not a pitch, and it is not a lecture. It is three people who see the same market from different angles, talking plainly about what they deal with day to day.

If you run a business in Kent, it is worth listening in.

Members of Synergy Networking Events get the chance to appear as guests on the show. If you would like your business in a conversation like this, it is one of the most straightforward ways to build credibility.

Tune in next Wednesday, and if you know Adam, Connor or Debra, give them a shout.
