When assembling components of a pump, use bolts and nuts. These must be tightened with the appropriate tightening torques.

Normally an impact wrench is used for this. It should be set to the standard tightening torque for each size. When tightening stainless screws or nuts on other stainless components, it is also necessary to apply a suitable lubricant to the screws. To prevent the threads from seizing, first tighten the parts carefully by hand before proceeding with an impact wrench. We recommend that you then check the tightening torque with a torque wrench.

It pumps large volumes of and shreds fibrous materials with a tungsten carbide blade integrated into its impeller. Our Italian market partner Dragflow and its Dewatering Service division are involved in a complex project for the expansion of a sports centre. The experts are responsible for pumping, treating and draining the water from the four large construction pits.

As the hydraulic height to be lowered and controlled is 2 metres in sandy-gravelly soils, a particularly precise system had to be provided. The solution was carefully designed to achieve a cautious soil permeability of around 3.0 E-3 m/s. Therefore, 8 wells with a diameter of 600 millimetres and a depth of 8 metres were chosen,

KRS 2-69 submersible pumps with a total flow rate of 8,000 litres/min were installed to keep the groundwater level within the required parameters. In a downstream process step, five Tsurumi KRS 2-89 with electrodes and electromagnetic measuring devices pump the water back into the lake via a tank. Tsurumi KTVE 33.7 are used to manage the surface water at the bottom of the excavation pit.

A washing plant for concrete mixers produces a lot of dirty water, which is naturally mixed with abrasive concrete sludge. Pumping out this water is no easy task.

Highly wear-resistant pumps of type HS2.75S (230 V, 750 W) are ideal for this. The compact, versatile and robust HS series is equipped with an internal double mechanical seal in an oil bath. It is protected by a shaft protection ring and an upstream sealing ring. In this form, the pump is suitable for dry running and dragging operation. The most important thing for the customer: Solids up to a diameter of 7 mm are pumped out without any problems.

Our colleagues from Tsurumi France tell us about a current construction project in Alsace: a fish migration aid is being built next to a dam. Large concrete platforms and pipes will enable fish to migrate upstream. The construction area has to be drained during installation. Several Tsurumi KRS 815 and KRS 2-69 are used here.
