We’ve just wrapped up on the £14m Skegness TEC campus, a flagship project for the £300m+ Skegness Gateway development.
Working with Hobson & Porter, the goal was to deliver a high-specification balustrade solution that could handle the daily footfall of over 1,000 students while maintaining a modern, open feel.
The Solution:
Structural Glass Balustrades: We installed these in the main atrium and social hub. By using a base-fixed structural system, we eliminated the need for vertical posts, maximising natural light and keeping sightlines completely clear.
D-Clamp Glass Systems: For the primary stairwells, we went with a heavy-duty D-clamp hardware. This provides a robust, rigid fix for the glass panels, paired with continuous, ergonomic handrails to ensure the stairs are easy to navigate and fully compliant.
It’s a state-of-the-art build, and we’re proud to have delivered a fit-for-purpose finish that balances sleek aesthetics with the durability a project of this scale demands.
