What makes working with me different?

It’s not just what I do — it’s how I work.

One of my strengths is being able to tick off endless tasks, but it’s also seeing the bigger picture. Understanding how someone works, where their energy is best spent, and what actually needs to happen behind the scenes to support their growth.

I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all support.

I work alongside my clients — learning how they operate, what matters most to them, and where they want their business to go. Then we build the right support around that.

Because real support isn’t just about clearing a to-do list.

✨ It’s about feeling understood
✨ Having someone who can spot what you can’t see when you’re in the day-to-day
✨ Creating calm, structure, and momentum without adding more pressure

That’s where trust grows.
That’s where partnership happens.

And it’s why my clients don’t just work with me — they stay.

Well another month has absolutely flown by ☀️

It’s been one of those months where business, life, kids, sunshine, and complete chaos have all blended into one 😅

Behind the scenes, May has looked like:
✨ Half-term juggling… AGAIN
✨ An INSET day thrown into the mix
✨ Surviving the mini heatwave while trying to work
✨ 2 x in-person admin days
✨ 2 x networking events
✨ New starter processing & invoicing support
✨ Researching activities in Italy, plus bouncy castles and pizza ovens in Manchester (because no two client tasks are ever the same 😂)
✨ Podcast guest research and behind-the-scenes planning

A real mix of organisation, support, problem-solving, and adapting — which honestly sums up business ownership quite well.

What I’ve been reminded of this month is how important flexibility and support really are.

Not every month runs perfectly.
Not every week feels balanced.
But having the right systems, structure, and support around you makes the juggle feel far more manageable.

Now heading into June hoping for:
🌿 A little more sunshine
🌿 A little less rushing
🌿 And plenty more calm, sustainable growth

It’s been one of those weeks…

A real mix of business support, half-term juggling, and trying to balance work alongside real life ☀️👩‍👧‍👦

Behind the scenes this week has looked like:
🗂️ Client support and ongoing admin tasks
📥 Inbox organisation and behind-the-scenes catch-ups
📊 Planning and prep work
📋 Keeping lots of moving parts ticking over
☕️ Working around snack requests, days out, and holiday chaos

No two weeks ever look the same, and honestly, I’ve learnt to really embrace that.

One of the biggest reasons I built this business was for flexibility.

Not to work constantly, but to create a way of working that supports both my clients and my life outside of work too.

So next week, I’m leaning into that fully and taking the kids away for a little break, thinking beach walks, ice creams, fresh air, and switching off for a few days 🍦🌊

Because sustainable business isn’t just about productivity.

It’s also about creating space for the moments you actually built the business for in the first place 🤍

Half-term and a bank holiday thrown in for good measure? ☀️

It can be very tempting to panic about the “short week” and try to cram five days of work into three or four.

But honestly?

Not everything needs doing immediately.

This week has been a reminder for me that organisation, prioritising, and realistic expectations make such a difference — especially when life is fuller outside of work too.

Instead of piling on pressure, I’ve been focusing on:
✨ What actually needs my attention this week
✨ What can wait
✨ What can be delegated or supported elsewhere
✨ Creating space for both work and family time

Because a shorter week shouldn’t automatically mean stress, overwhelm, or working late into the evenings to catch up.

And often, that’s where outsourcing really helps.

Having support behind the scenes means things keep ticking over, even when your week looks a little different.

Less panic. More breathing room. More sustainable business support

Do you want to know the secret to a successful working relationship?

Okay, it’s not really a secret… but effective 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 make all the difference! Here’s how 𝐰𝐞 make it work:
- Choose the right channels – Email, WhatsApp, video calls, project management tools… Whatever suits 𝒀𝑶𝑼 best, we’ll use it to stay aligned.
- Set clear expectations – From response times to availability, I believe in transparency so we can keep things running smoothly.
- Regular check-ins – Whether it’s a quick message or a scheduled call, I’m always here to chat through projects, updates, or any questions.
- Use smart tools – Trello, Asana, or your platform of choice – keeping projects organised means no surprises, just progress.
- Stay in the loop – Even when there’s no major update, I’ll keep you informed.

Trust and confidence come from staying connected.

A great working relationship isn’t just about getting things done, it’s about making the process seamless and stress-free.

Let’s communicate, collaborate, and see how we can create success together!

Running your own business means wearing all the hats, and without a plan, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, react to whatever’s most urgent, and never quite get to the stuff that actually moves things forward.

Planning my days and weeks has become non-negotiable to stay productive, reduce stress, and stop wasting time switching between tasks. But it didn’t come naturally, I had to try a few different systems to figure out what really worked.

Here’s what helps me stay organised (even when life gets busy):
📝 Pen & Paper
Sometimes, the simplest tools are the most effective. I keep a notepad nearby to jot down quick ideas, brain-dump my to-dos, or plan content.
📱 Digital Calendar
I sync everything across devices—client calls, meetings, even school events. Having it all in one place on my phone stops me from double-booking or forgetting things.
🟦 Time-Blocking
Rather than just working through a long to-do list, I block out time in my calendar for focused work, admin, client calls—even breaks. It helps me stay intentional, not reactive.
📌 Project Management Apps
For bigger tasks or client work, I love Asana to break everything down into small, manageable steps. That way, I can see progress (and stop trying to hold it all in my head!).

My top tips if time management feels hard:
✅ Start with priorities
Pick 1–3 key tasks each day that really matter. Getting those done will give you momentum—and clarity.
⏳ Leave space
Back-to-back tasks look great on paper, but they rarely work in real life. Build in buffer time for emails, last-minute requests, and a proper lunch break.
🔁 Review weekly
Take 10 minutes at the end of the week to reflect. What worked? What didn’t? Use that info to tweak next week’s plan and avoid repeating mistakes.

Planning doesn’t have to be perfect—it just needs to work for you.

What’s your go-to planning method (or what have you tried that didn’t work)?

Feeling rushed off your feet and like there’s never enough time in the day?

When everything feels urgent, it’s usually a sign your workload needs restructuring — not more effort from you.

Here are my top 3 time-saving shifts I come back to (and support my clients with all the time):

1️⃣ Prioritise and delegate intentionally
Not everything on your list needs your attention. Focus your energy on the tasks that actually move your business forward, and delegate or outsource the rest. It can take a little time for things to bed in, but long-term, it creates so much more space.

2️⃣ Use systems and tech to support you
Project management tools, scheduling apps, and simple automations can take a huge amount of pressure off your day-to-day. If you’re not sure what to use or how to set it up, this is exactly where freelance support can make things easier.

3️⃣ Protect your capacity with clear boundaries
Set working hours that you actually stick to. Without boundaries, work will always expand to fill your time — and burnout isn’t a sustainable business strategy.

Because the goal isn’t to do more.

It’s to create a business that runs more smoothly, with less strain on you.

Is your to-do list growing faster than you can tick things off?

Do you finish the day feeling busy… but still like there’s never enough time?

That’s usually a sign that your business needs more support — not more pressure on you.

Here are a few signs it might be time to outsource:

✨ You’re spending too much time on tasks that drain your energy
✨ Admin, emails, socials, or backend tasks are taking over your week
✨ Your to-do list never seems to get shorter
✨ You have ideas for growth, but no space to actually action them
✨ Things are starting to slip because you’re juggling too much
✨ Your work-life balance feels non-existent

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is this:

You are not meant to do everything yourself.

Your time and energy are valuable — and when they’re constantly being pulled into low-level tasks, there’s very little left for strategy, creativity, or the work that truly moves your business forward.

Outsourcing isn’t about “failing” to keep up.

It’s about creating a business that feels calmer, more sustainable, and properly supported.

If any of this feels familiar, my DMs are open for a chat about how I can help lighten the load ☺
