πŸ›°οΈ Starlink Professional (PLEO) Installation – Warrington

A nice clean upgrade for this customer, swapping a tired BT copper line for Starlink in a standard two-bedroom house. He went for the latest Gen 4 dish on the 200 Mbps plan, and we fitted it properly so it's solid for years to come.

πŸ“‘ The kit: a Gen 4 Starlink on a 200 Mbps plan, a big step up from slow, unreliable BT copper.
πŸ”© The mount: a galvanised bracket and a 2" mast with one of our alloy pole adapters, securely fixed to the brickwork and never to fascia boards.
πŸ”Œ Tidy cabling: the cable was fed neatly through the wall into the loft, where it links into the customer's existing small home network.
πŸ“Ά Wi-Fi coverage: even with the router sitting in the loft, the signal covers the whole house with no extra mesh needed.
πŸš€ The result: speed tests hit over 300 Mbps down, with the full 200 Mbps in the living room. Fast, stable broadband with no more copper woes.

Need Starlink installed in the Warrington area? Our PLEO (Professional Low Earth Orbit) installers cover the whole UK, with proper brackets, tidy cabling and networking done right first time.

πŸ›°οΈ Starlink Professional (PLEO) Installation – Euxton, Chorley

This customer was trying to run a family home and a business on a BT copper line of about 3 Mbps. Video calls dropped, uploads crawled and simple jobs took forever. BT told him there are no fibre plans for at least five years, which in reality probably means never. So we sorted it properly with Starlink.

❌ The problem: a BT copper line at about 3 Mbps. That's nowhere near enough for a home and a business, and no fibre is on the way.
πŸ“‘ The mount: a Starlink Mini on a galvanised bracket and a 2" mast with the pole adapter. The spot is exposed, so it needed to be rock solid. We never fit to fascia boards, it's simply not the done thing.
πŸ”Œ Hardwired office: we ran a longer than normal Ethernet cable from the dish power point in the garage into his office, then into a small switch for a solid wired connection to his computer.
πŸ“Ά Whole-home Wi-Fi: from the switch, a second run goes to an Ethernet socket at the far end of the building, where we placed the free Mini router. The result is full coverage across the whole house with no dead spots.
πŸš€ The result: a 100 Mbps plan with fast, reliable Wi-Fi in every room. That's plenty for two people living and working there, from 3 Mbps to 100 Mbps in a single visit.

Stuck on slow copper with no fibre coming? Our PLEO (Professional Low Earth Orbit) installers cover the whole UK, with proper brackets, tidy cabling and networking done right first time.

Starlink midweek updates

New this week: Opensignal compared Starlink with 4G and 5G home broadband across Europe (ISPreview, 13 Oct). In rural UK, Starlink averaged 80.8 Mbps, against 32.4 Mbps for the best mobile option.

Those averages assume a good install. A PLEO (Professional Low Earth Orbit) fit makes sure yours lives up to them:
β€’ Clear sky view, away from trees and chimneys
β€’ Galvanised brackets and alloy masts that hold in a gale
β€’ Cat6 cut to length and weatherproofed
β€’ Wi-Fi planned so every room gets the signal

Need it fitted correctly? Look for a professional installer.

Starlink midweek updates

πŸ›°οΈ Amazon Leo has a new launch date, and the next big rocket is "weeks away" πŸ‘‡

πŸš€ Ariane 6: Arianespace announced today that mission LE-04 will carry 36 Amazon Leo satellites from French Guiana no earlier than 23 November. (Arianespace, 14 Oct)

πŸš€ Vulcan: Amazon told Ars Technica it is "weeks away" from its first Amazon Leo launch on ULA's Vulcan, with at least one more Vulcan planned this year. Trackers list it for no earlier than 29 October with 45 satellites, but that date isn't confirmed. (Ars Technica, 8 Oct)

πŸ“‘ Leo Pro tested: In a US Army demo at Aberdeen, Maryland, the Leo Pro antenna hit peak downloads above 400 Mbps. (SpaceNews / Amazon, 13 Oct)

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ UK: Amazon still plans to start initial service in 2026 and says the UK will be among the first countries for general service, but there's still no UK consumer date or pricing.

Starlink went live in CuraΓ§ao today, and Brazil has cleared spectrum for satellite-to-phone service. πŸ“‘

‒ Curaçao: Starlink officially started service on 14 October, the island's minister announced. Prices and plans haven't been published yet.
β€’ Brazil: regulator Anatel approved 15+15 MHz of S-band spectrum on 9 October for Starlink's direct-to-phone service. It isn't a commercial launch yet.
β€’ USA: SpaceX agreed on 8 October to buy Grain Management's nationwide 800 MHz spectrum for Starlink Mobile, pending FCC approval.
β€’ Africa: Paratus launched EduLINK, a Starlink package for schools in Botswana, Eswatini, Kenya, Mozambique, Malawi, Rwanda and Zambia, with 2TB of priority data a month.
β€’ Aviation: Royal Air Maroc will fit Starlink Wi-Fi to 41 aircraft from early 2027, and KLM will start fitting its long-haul fleet in summer 2027.

Taking your Mini abroad this autumn? Check the Roam travel rules before you go πŸ‘‡

β€’ For UK accounts, Starlink groups the UK with a list of European countries as one travel region, including France, Spain, Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man. Travelling within that region doesn't count as international use.
β€’ Outside that region, only Roam Unlimited covers international use, for up to 30 days at a time. Roam 100GB is for use within your home region.
β€’ For longer trips abroad, Starlink points you to its Priority plans. Local Priority gives up to 60 days of international use in total.
β€’ These rules apply to new customers from 14 July 2026 and to existing customers from 17 August 2026.

The full country list is on Starlink's Help Centre, so check it before you book the ferry. Where has your Mini been this year?

Starlink midweek updates

Rural UK is going satellite. The install decides how well it works.

New this week: an Opensignal study (reported 13 October, using April to June 2026 data) rated Starlink ahead of EE, Three and Vodafone's 4G and 5G home broadband for rural speed and consistency.

That only holds up with a proper PLEO (Professional Low Earth Orbit) install:
β€’ Quality brackets matched to the roof, chimney, gable or pole
β€’ Cat6 made to fit, weatherproofed and neatly routed
β€’ Bespoke setups and network services for homes, businesses, farms, lodges and static caravans
β€’ Listed buildings handled with care
β€’ Health and safety and professional standards on every job

New static home, slow campsite Wi-Fi? Not any more! πŸš€ Today in Congleton, Cheshire we carried out a professional Starlink installation for a customer who's just bought a new static home. The campsite Wi-Fi was only giving about 5 Mbps, so they opted for a Starlink Mini.

βœ… Starlink Mini fitted to an existing galvanised bracket with a 2" alloy mast, keeping it neat and low profile
βœ… Cable fed tidily under the static home and up behind the TV, no messy runs
βœ… Dish aligned and confirmed in the Starlink app ("Starlink is aligned")
βœ… Set up on a 100 Mbps plan, a huge jump from 5 Mbps campsite Wi-Fi
βœ… The customer's free mini router added for extra internal coverage
