Security Team Member – Build to Rent (BTR) Residential Security
Location: Birmingham
Salary: Up to £30,000 per year
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shifts
C&D Security Ltd is looking for professional, customer-focused Security Team Members to join our growing Build to Rent (BTR) residential team in Birmingham.
This is far more than a traditional security role. As the first point of contact for residents, visitors and contractors, you will play a key role in creating a safe, welcoming and well-managed living environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing a visible and professional security presence throughout the development.
* Welcoming residents and visitors, delivering outstanding customer service at all times.
* Managing access control for residents, guests and contractors.
* Conducting regular internal and external patrols of the building and grounds.
* Responding to incidents including anti-social behaviour, fire alarms, welfare concerns and emergencies.
* Monitoring CCTV systems and maintaining accurate incident records.
* Carrying out health and safety checks and reporting maintenance issues.
* Receiving and managing parcel deliveries for residents.
* Liaising with emergency services, property management teams and contractors when required.
* Building positive relationships with residents to ensure they feel safe and supported within their community.
What We’re Looking For:
* Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard licence.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Professional appearance and attitude.
* Strong observational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Good written and verbal English.
* Previous experience in residential security, concierge, hospitality or customer service is desirable but not essential.
