As one of the most established security companies in Manchester we work with a variety of production companies – both big and small – and have long established working relationships with ITV, BBC, Red Production Company, Company Pictures, Shed Productions, Lime Pictures, Hat Trick,

Shine, Tightrope Pictures and many others. We specialize in the security guarding of studios, both permanent and temporary, as well as location security covering the north west region. We have also worked with Coronation Street for the past decade. Manchester is preparing for a particularly busy Bank Holiday weekend, with major celebrations, outdoor concerts, planned demonstrations and extensive road closures taking place across the city.

For businesses, employees, residents and visitors, forward planning will be essential.

🏳️‍🌈 MANCHESTER VILLAGE PRIDE

Manchester Village Pride takes place from Friday 28 to Monday 31 August across Canal Street and the Gay Village.

The Pride Parade will travel through the city centre on Saturday 29 August, following a route from Liverpool Road through Deansgate, Peter Street, Oxford Street, Portland Street, Princess Street and Whitworth Street.

Businesses and road users should expect temporary closures, traffic restrictions and increased pedestrian activity throughout the weekend.

Capricorn Security Group was proud to be working at Manchester City FC over the weekend, supporting another busy matchday across the Etihad Campus.

Our experienced team provided a professional and welcoming presence at the Academy Fan Zone, as well as across several other key areas of the Etihad Stadium.

From helping supporters enjoy the Fan Zone activities to assisting with safety, security and customer service throughout the wider venue, our staff played an important role in creating a positive matchday experience for everyone attending.

A huge thank you to every member of Team Capricorn who represented the company with professionalism, enthusiasm and a smile throughout the weekend.

🔴⚫ EVENT SECURITY STARTS LONG BEFORE THE GATES OPEN ⚫🔴
The recent discovery of a sizeable quantity of drugs buried within an event festival grounds demonstrates why security must remain a priority before, during and after every major event.
During pre-event searches, a local Constabulary recovered Class A, B and C drugs, including ecstasy, M**A and ketamine tablets, alongside approximately 204 nitrous oxide canisters.
Those responsible had reportedly attempted to bypass event-day security by concealing items within the site in advance.
Effective event security should therefore cover the complete operational period:
🔴 Pre-event site patrols and perimeter monitoring
⚫ Access control during build and setup
🔴 Visible security presence and incident reporting
⚫ Identification of suspicious activity or unattended items
🔴 Support and liaison with organisers and emergency services
⚫ Post-event security throughout breakdown and site clearance
