We are grateful to have such a fantastic group of employees who take their own health seriously. As a company, we are committed to the health and safety of our team. That's why we make sure to prioritize regular health surveillance visits for all of our employees. This week we have held our annual employee health surveillance visit, where each colleague had the opportunity to receive individualised reviews of their health and wellbeing. This proactive approach allows us to identify and address potential health issues early on, ensuring that our team can work safely and comfortably. We believe that investing in the health and wellbeing of our employees is not only the right thing to do, but also helps to create a positive and productive work environment. As a company, we are always looking for ways to make a positive impact in our community. This Christmas, we were thrilled to be able to donate our custom high street shop front signs to a very deserving children's hospice as they open several new charity shops. We hope that our signs will assist in the mission to help affected children and their families, particularly during this special time of year. It's moments like these that remind us of the importance of giving back, and we are grateful for the opportunity to support such a wonderful cause as Hope House & Tŷ Gobaith .

Less waste, higher productivity and unrivaled accuracy, print after print. Our Branding & Graphics department refit continues with the arrival of the stunning Zund UK Ltd G3 3XL which is has now been commissioned and is fully operational. We saw nothing that tracks and cuts as cleanly as the Zund G3, print after print and we're giddy with excitement to have our hands on it now. With a humongous bed size to match the capacity of our swissQprint UK Nyala, our capacity and capabilities have now expanded massively.

Remembrance is deeply personal subject. Every year we make a conscious effort to walk a line to ensure we pay our deepest respects as a business without just becoming a token marketing post on the calendar. Ultimately, we believe it's important to show that we remember those of our friends, family and those who have come before us that we would never meet - those whose bravery and huge sacrifices gave us the often-wild world that we have the privilege to live in. We offer our thoughts and heartfelt gratitude.

It's a moment for us to stop and think about how lucky we are, about those we've lost. Speaking frankly, whilst marketing posts may seem a little self serving sometimes, we prefer to have some action behind them and have made a donation to the who give support to those protecting our way of life today.

We know that planting new trees alone doesn’t immediately offset emissions as it takes years for the trees to fully mature and sequester CO2e. We chose to invest in a ‘buddying’ tree planting initiative spread throughout the UK which reflects the values we share with our partners who are also embarking on their own Net Zero and 50 Million Tree planting campaigns.

The buddy system we selected improves this by protecting the Brazillian Rainforest from deforestation through the Pacajai REDD+ program, as well as planting a UK tree per tonne, which is a great blend of immediate and long-term benefits.

Brand Consortia have taken another significant step forward by achieving NetZero status in 2021.

We pioneered our Sustainable Sign Scheme back in 2008, by offsetting Co2 released into the atmosphere during the manufacturing and installation of our signage schemes.
Fast forward to 2021, we have taken another leap forward and we’re proud to be Carbon Neutral Plus certified, as part of our long-term commitment to ISO14001.

Businesses often attempt to reduce their emissions which is great however, we’re doing something completely unique within our industry by completely wiping out all our emissions by funding accredited carbon offset schemes. The result is that we now offset more carbon emissions than we generate, making us not just carbon neutral, but carbon negative.

By updating our fleet with Hybrids and battery Electric Vehicles, swapping out strong solvents for UV-cured alternatives, and investing in the latest print and manufacturing technologies, we continue to reduce the impact on our environment.

Educating our clients to choose more sustainable and environmentally friendly materials is also part of our ongoing commitment.

At Brand Consortia our social conscience and culture of doing the right thing, continues to drive us forwards.

It genuinely excites us, like kids at Christmas, to tear the wrapping off the first machine in our newly refitted print department because it has so much new tech in it that I would describe as 'simply cool' - or to put it in more formal business-speak - After the worldwide uncertainty of the last year it's really uplifting to complete on a game-changing investment this week.

Our new Nyala 3 grand format printer ticked every box on our wishlist, allowing us to smash through our existing product runs and actually develop completely new lines with the features like high-build inks allowing on surface 3d texturing, integrated spot varnish that's fully controllable for finishes across the matte-gloss spectrum and full white-pigment lines.

There aren't many of these machines in the country and we're excited to be going on this journey together so you'll be seeing a lot more teasers as we wrap our heads around what the new technology can do and how we can develop it into new cool new additions to what we offer.
